Now it’s time for you to put your learning into something. This is your final task, so put all your
effort to present your overall understanding on international business.

Write a Case Analysis on about the movie.

CASE ANALYSIS FORMAT

1. Point of View
 Choice of which management perspective the case analyst would be taking.
It would mostly be of the person making the decision.
 State the name if a specific character is identified.

2. Statement of the Problem


 Identify the key problems and issues in the movie.
 Formulate and include a thesis statement, summarizing the outcome of your analysis
in 1–2 sentences.
 Most critical step in the case analysis.
 Should be directed and narrowed down the real issue of the case. Straight to the point
and concise.
 Usually at the point-of-view of top management.
 Usually in the form of a question: “How improvement should be introduced….” Or
“Which action should be taken……”
 Should not be answerable by “yes” or “no” Statement of Objectives:
 Choose 3 to 5 goals that will be attained once the identified main problem is resolved.
 Should be met by chosen alternative course action and recommendation ex. Improve
productivity, Reduce Turn-over over rate, etc.

3. Areas of Consideration
 Use frameworks in in summarizing key facts.
SWOT Analysis and PESTEL Analysis

4. Alternatives Courses of Action (ACAs)


Have AT LEAST two plausible ACAs, both of which should be plausible and addresses
the problem directly.
 Presents both PROs and CONs of each one (consider SWOT)
 Must be based on facts of the case. Recommendation/s
 Select ACA/s that best addresses the main problem and meets key objectives.
 You can choose more than 1 ACA
 Explain reason/s why this ACA was chosen over others.
 Provide detailed implementation plan to test whether such recommendation is feasible.
 Provide contingency plan in case there are potential problems
5. Proposed Solution
a. Provide one specific and realistic solution
b. Explain why this solution was chosen
c. Support this solution with solid evidence
d. Concepts from class (text readings, discussions, lectures)
e. Outside research
f. Personal experience (anecdotes)
6. Recommendations
a. If applicable, recommend further action to resolve some of the issues
b. What should be done and who should do it?

Remember:

- Follow the format: Times New Roman, size 12, double spaced
- Submit on time. Late submissions will not be accepted.
- Use APA format in your citation and reference.
- Minimum of 10 references.
- Pass this before Tuesday- send it to [email protected] with
