S14A loom connections
Attach a 10k ohm resistor between pins 3 and 40 of connector F4 to operate an S13 CA18 tachometer
from this ECU.
*not-verified – please check this is correct, using instructions later on in this document.

There is one major difference between a RHD and LHD SR20 loom. The ECU harness sits on the left side of
the engine bay, as you’d expect for a LHD car, however the Power Transistor Unit is on the right-side turret!
This design means that the signal wires leave the ECU harness at F4, travel through the body harness and to
the PTU. The output signals from the PTU then pass back through the body harness, back into F4 and to the
coil packs. This does seem crazy – I guess for either space/design cost reasons, it was preferable to keep the
PTU in the same location for LHD and RHD cars.
Fortunately the solution appears easy.
Extract the PTU from the donor S14, and also remove and keep the two plugs, aswell as as much wire as
possible (30cm or so).
Now solder the PTU wires onto F4, and put the PTU in the passenger footwell.
