MODULE 1 COMPLETION

Criteria

1. There is different course of actions.


2. We are obliged to make a decision about which option is best.
3. Whatever option we choose, some moral principle will be compromised.

Part 1:

Look for a movie, that features a moral dilemma and share the nature of the dilemma and why do you
think this is necessary through an essay. Do not forget to include the information’s: director, release
date, characters, short summary of the movie,

Part 2:

 Pick one character from the movie and answer the following questions.
 What moral actions did the character perform during before, and after the dilemma?
 Why do you consider this to be moral actions? Refer to the criteria up there.

Part 3.

 What are the things that the character cared about which you think primarily motivated their
actions?

Part 4:

Using a moral theory of your own choice, conduct a moral evaluation of characters actions.

Relativism states that right and wrong actions are relative to certain conditions.

MODULE 2 COMPLETION
1. Reflect on and evaluate your past decisions and actions and, in a 750-
word essay, answer this question:
Tell an instance where you or someone you know have performed an action that
is considered right in the Utilitarian framework.
In answering the question above, you should be able to 1) define and explain first
the arguments of Utilitarianism; and 2) provide pertinent details about the
instance you are telling.
You will be graded based on the following rubrics:
 Content - 50 points
 Grammar and Language Use - 25 points
 Organization and Coherence - 25 points

2. Reflect on and evaluate your past decisions and actions and, in a 750-
word essay, answer this question:
Tell an instance where you or someone you know have performed an action that
is considered right in the Deontological framework.
In answering the question above, you should be able to 1) define and explain first
the arguments of Deontology; and 2) provide pertinent details about the
instance you are telling.
