QUALIFICATION:
 4 years on the experience as Patient Care Assistant/Nursing Aide for a number
of clients.
 Have a Hands on experience as a nursing aide like feeding patients, providing
personal care and hygiene, assisting in bathing and dressing, toileting and more.
 Assist licensed nursing staff in providing direct patient care.
 Very skilled in taking Blood Pressure, Pulse and Temperature.
 Ability to quickly learn new concepts and skills.

 Assigned in TRANSITIONAL CARE UNIT (GERIATRIC WARD) and Rotating
wards in MEDICAL SURGICAL, OB-GYNE, JOINT REPLACEMENT AND PEDIA
WARDS and EMERGENCY ROOM, INTENSIVE CARE UNIT.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


 Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone
etiquette.
 Handover of Patients
 Check assigned scheduled for bathing
 Answer call bells on timely fashion and relaying what the patient’s need
 Ensuring the patient have an adequate supply of clean linens
 Assisting Nurses to any procedure
 Communicates to all patients to promote cognitive function
 Weight monitoring report sudden weight gain or weight loss
 Refilling stocks to each room (Non-Chargeable and Chargeables)
 Feeding one of the patient for breakfast, lunch and dinner
 Positioning for all bed ridden patients every 2 hours
 Assisting patients in transferring to chair using the hoist machine
 Maintaining safety of the patient like raising side rails, patient comfort, elevate the head all time to
prevent aspiration
 Changing diapers and report any abnormalities
 Assisting all patients with Activities of Daily living and assisting physiotherapies using canes,
walking frames
 Cleaning all equipments (hoist, hoist sling, sliding sheets, commode, high walking frame)
 Maintaining cleanliness of equipment utility/ treatment/ stock rooms
 Report any hazards or safety issues of patients to nurse
 Assisting on bathing and grooming
