 Search Engine is a computer program that searches databases and intern
sites for the documents containing keywords specified by a user.

How to Use Search Engines


To enter the world wide web (www), you
need to have either of these two:
 Internet connection or WIFI (it can be a
modem or a pocket wifi) or
 Data subscription (cellphone load)

To search for information:


A. Using keyword/s
B. Using Uniform Resource Locator (URL)

Searching Using Keyword/s


Follow the steps that are provided in searching using keywords.

Step 1. Open the page first using Google


Chrome and enter the texts or keywords in t
search bar pointed by the red arrow to find
relevant information.

Step 2. Type in the search bar the word


“COVID-19”.
There, you will find out several information
about the topic.

Step 3. Click the search result about the


information that you need about the topic.
You will find out several results such as
documents, reports, news, or journals.

Step 4: Click the first search result inside the


box. Screenshot the information and send it
to our group chat.

Step 5: Click the Back Button to go back to the Home Page.

A. If you are using a cellphone click the x button as pointed by the red arrow.
B. If you are using a computer, click the back button enclosed in a blue box as
shown in picture B

This time, you will research using Uniform Resource
Locator or URL. URL is the
page address that you will find in the long bar at the
top of your Web browsers.

Step 1: Click Google Chrome in your screen.

Step 2. Type the name of the website

Step 3. Press ← Enter key if you are using a


computer. Press the Search icon as pointed by the
