TABLE OF CONTENTS
01 INTRODUCTION

02 STEP 1: CLARITY

03 STEP 2: DEFINE YOUR FUTURE

04 STEP 3: ALIGNMENT

05 STEP 4: THE ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

06 STEP 5: YOUR IDEAL ROUTINE

07 WHAT'S NEXT?
Introduction (1/2)
Working with 150+ coaching clients in the last 5 months, I
witnessed a lot of patterns.

One of the biggest issues I noticed among most of my

clients… they lose motivation to do things after a while.

You know how learning a foreign language can open new

opportunities for you.

You realise how improving your MS Excel skills can help

you make better reports, and will be a big plus for your
productivity.

You understand that practising public speaking can

provide you with amazing interview skills, and eventually
better career options.

You must have even tried a musical instrument, followed a

creative hobby of writing, singing, or dancing, and maybe
you have even been doing them on and off.

But do you follow them religiously, despite understanding

the benefits they could bring in your life?
Introduction (2/2)
In his book “A Million Thoughts”, Om Swami wrote,

“After about 3,000 hours of (meditation) practice, you’ll be

able to hold the mental image (of a rock) without the
slightest of fading for roughly four minutes. After 10,000
hours of practice… you’ll be able to hold the image in your
mind for as long as you wish.”

He is talking about 3,000 hours of practice in just 1 form of

meditation before seeing significant results. He has tried
plenty of meditation types.

Reading this one paragraph was so humbling for me, I

went to a self-analysis mode.

How many hours have I put into the practice of my

creative endeavours?

I figured I must have invested 5000+ hours in writing in

the past 5 years or so.

That brings me to the question…

How many hours have you put in your skills?

Now the question is… How will you put up so many hours

in ONE skill, if you are not feeling motivated?
WHAT IF...
What if you could develop a never-ending internal force of
staying motivated?

Motivation is like a fire burning inside of you- the fire that

guides you through rocks and thorns and all the obstacles
in your way.

All it takes is a little spark to ignite that fire.

The fire to work

The fire to serve
The fire to excel

Let's spark a fire within ourselves.

How to Use This Ebook?
Have a pen and paper with you before you read further.

It will not take hours to finish this book, maybe less than one hour
in total.

Be honest about your assignments.

And if you feel stuck at any point, drop me an email at

[email protected]

Most of the answers you will write in assignments, you would want
to change them after a couple of days.

If that happens (that’s actually supposed to happen) feel free to

read this ebook and repeat the exercises again, and update your
answers!
STEP 1: Clarity
Get Clear on Everything.

Aka Self Awareness.

Self-awareness is probably the first step in all the ventures.

Pick up your notebook.

Let’s answer some questions.

Here are 6 questions you might like to ask yourself:

Question 1: Where am I succeeding in life?

Question 2: Where am I failing in life?

Question 3: What should I do more?

Question 4: What should I do less?

Question 5: Where do I need help?

Question 6: From where can I get this help?

Answer these questions every week for better clarity.

Daily Task
Read your answers to these questions every day for a constant
reminder of your whereabouts.
STEP 2: Define Your Future
You are at point A in your life right now.

You want to move to point B.

Point A = Your current reality

Point B = Your next stop, your dream life

Distance X = The distance between your reality (Point A) and your

dreams (Point B)

A ←------------------------------X------------------------------->B
We did a quick activity in the previous chapter to define your point
A.

Now it’s time to define your point B.

What does your life 10 years from now look like? How much are
you earning? What are your sources of income?
Where are you living?
What type of friends do you hang out with?
Are you doing regular donations too? How much? To which
NGO?

Be as clear as you can.

Define your dream life in detail.

Daily task:
Ask ONE question daily - Did I do something today that will take me
closer to my dream life?
STEP 3: Alignment (1/2)
WHAT IF ->
1) Your actions and thoughts are aligned with each other? You
execute whatever you think. (And don’t just daydream)

2) Your emotions are aligned with your efforts. So your emotions

support your efforts, and they don’t create chaos in your life.

3) Your personal and professional lives align in one direction. And

your career, your passion, your hobbies – everything works in a
single direction as per your values – of what you actually want from
life.

For the past few months and years, I have been working on aligning
these elements in one direction – my goals, my purpose, my career,
my thoughts, my actions, my emotions.

And now they are aligned with each other, I can witness the
manifold increased impact of all that.

Whenever and whatever I do now, I put it on an imaginary compass.

This compass is directed to my ultimate purpose and vision of life.

And so if the new “decision” aligns in the direction on this compass,

I’ll take it. Otherwise, I am not afraid to pass on the opportunity.

Would you like to design such an effective compass for your life as
well?
STEP 3: Alignment (2/2)
Write your mission statement.

Why are you doing whatever you are trying to do?

Write a letter to yourself about your mission statement.

By the way, this mission statement will keep updating time to time.

So don’t worry if you get a thought “Oh, but what if I don’t what
would I do 3 decades later in life?”

Come on. Long or short, start somewhere.

And then keep updating your mission statement.

Daily Task
Read this mission statement every day, especially in the times when
you feel unmotivated.

This piece of paper will be your never-ending internal motivation

source.

STEP 4: The Attitude of Gratitude (1/2)

When I was at my lowest, I saw no solution to my problems.

All I could see were more and more issues.

But then I came across this magical practice, that changed my life.

Well, to be honest, it changed my mindset, and the “mindset

change” changed my life!

The magical practice was feeling grateful, in both good and bad
times – to feel thankful for what may come.

Stoics call it “Amor Fati”, and a lot of people call it “The Secret” –
everything resonates with THE PRACTICE OF GRATITUDE.

You say ‘thank you’ for what you have.

You say ‘thank you’ for what you never had.
You say ‘thank you’ for all the challenges and all the obstacles.
STEP 4: The Attitude of Gratitude (2/2)

Our bodies are made up of atoms, and atoms vibrate.

These vibrations (or in short, ‘vibes’) attract similar vibes. Like

attracts like. Basic physics, right?

This is the reason when you’re happy, a lot of things happen that
make you even happier.

And when you are depressed , a lot of depressing things happen to

you.

Our mindset, our thoughts, our ‘vibes’ attract everything that

happens to us.

But how to change our thoughts?

How to attract good people and good opportunities?

How would you change your mindset – to attract everything you

always wanted to have?

We attract more and more problems by:

Not feeling grateful for what we already have.
Having a scarcity mindset (I have to choose between success or
family time – WHY NOT BOTH?)
Complaining about every damn thing.

Daily Task
Every day, practice gratitude.

Write 3 people/items/experiences you feel grateful about.

You can start by completing these statements:

I am grateful for __________ because ________
Thank you _________ because you ______________
STEP 5: Your Ideal Routine
There will come times when you’re not feeling motivated, and you
would want to take a break.

It’s okay if that happens.

But if you have a clear and defined routine, you can get back on
track quickly.

Let’s design a framework for our ideal routine.

Morning Routine
What is your ideal time of waking up?
What are the 3 major activities you do within 2 hours of waking
up?

Evening Routine
What is your ideal time of going to bed?
What are the 3 major activities you do in your evenings?

Daily Routine
What are the 5 activities you do that make you happy?

Important question
If you ever feel demotivated or getting off the track, what is
something you would want to remind yourself?

Daily Task
Read these answers again and again, and keep them updated from
time to time.
