Position Assistant System Engineer
Project Description The key processes of MOPAR are the New Parts Setup,
Catalogue Management, Material Planning and Inventory
Management, Order Processing and Support, Warehouse
Management of NPDC and FPDC, Retail Inventory Management
to support Dealers After sales business, Sales and Marketing and
International Operations to support FGA and ROW markets.

The global parts order processing system (GPOP) provides


qualified Chrysler dealers and MOPAR users the ability to enter
part orders.

GPOP provides online interactive submission utilizing Dealer


Connect WEB interface and 3270 CICS and also batch order
submissions from the dealer service provider (DSP) and other
processes.

WMS (Warehouse Management System) supports the MOPAR


warehouses in fulfilling dealer demands for parts. WMS interacts
with Global parts Order Processing (GPOP) system which initially
receives dealer orders for parts and helps in picking and shipping
of parts from warehouses to the dealers

 Requirement Analysis: Analyse the requirement

document and check for the feasibility of the same.


 Quality Management: The Quality Management of the
deliverables is done as per iQMS tool.
 Client Interaction for the Application: Interact with client
and understand the requirements and discuss for the
approach.
 High Level Design: The agreed upon approach or the
proposed approach is then documented.
 Low Level Design: Document the impact analysis and
component design and get sign off on the same.
 Make test plan document for the implemented module.
 Development/ Implementation: Develop the
application/module as per the proposed/agreed upon
approach.
 The developed code is reviewed to find out any
discrepancies
 Unit testing and removing defects: Testing the application
using the test plans for correctness.
 System Integration testing: Test the entire application and
check for inconsistencies if any, caused due to the
integrated module.
 Production Support: Support the application when
deployed in production environment.
 Defect Resolution: Resolve the defects found during
testing and while testing on production.
 Transition Activities: Taking the transition from Offshore
and filling the gaps with Onsite for the same and making
the Transition Handbook.

Position Assistant System Engineer
Project Description Chrysler has chosen TCS to provide application development,
maintenance and support services on a fixed price basis with a
mixed onsite - offshore model.

Chrysler Group LLC is a major Automobile Manufacturing


company of US. Chrysler manufactures, distributes, and sells a
wide range of automotive products, mainly passenger cars, light
trucks, and commercial vehicles.

Chrysler’s Fleet Business systems are designed cater to the


specific/demanding needs of customers engaged in fleet
management, commercial vehicle business and Car rentals.
Services provided by the fleet systems include facilitate the
customer’s sales planning objectives, forecasting their demand,
dedicated systems for ordering, status tracking, help the
customers in re-marketing the fleet vehicles, and providing special
incentive programs based on the volume of sales. Chrysler’s Fleet
Customers include Federal, State and Local Government
organisations, Fleet companies and Rental Car companies.

Chrysler’s Fleet Business systems cater to wide range of


customer’s needs from Sales Planning, Forecasting, Ordering,
and Remarketing along with special incentive programs. These
systems comprise of multiple technology stack including Java,
.Net, Power Builder, Cognos, Business objects, Mainframe
technologies, Sybase and Shell Scripts.

Fleet team consists of a team of 20 members. As part of the


contract, TCS services to Chrysler LLC would include:
