Aim and Objective

UWE Myanmar Student Society has a target to achieve zero risk of Covid-19 for all society members.
To achieved this, society is trying to reduce contact persons while helping new and returning
students, and during their self-isolation for 14 days. Society will also set up the appropriate action
plans and suitable guidelines to achieve the aim.

action plans.

Note: If the Lead has the symptoms of Covid-19 or must self-isolate by the guidelines of home office,
and the members will have to take the Lead position in order.
List of new students and their responsible persons

All new students need to make contact with their responsible persons, and report to them. The
responsible persons will help new students when they are arrived and during their self-isolation.

Note: The group could be changed. If the whole group of new students have already done their self-
isolation, and do not show any symptoms, one of the responsible persons can take the other new
students in case their responsible person is not available. The groups are organised according to the
government guidelines of (group of six). (The detailed information of students will be provided just
for the responsible persons.)
Returning students

Returning students can ask for help during their self-isolation. The Lead or Co-lead will arrange it.

Note for responsible persons

Airport Pick-up

 Do not take any personal risk.


 Do wear face masks. Face shields and gloves are optional.
 Do ask to change students’ face masks in toilet and dispose them properly, then gather at
the designated meeting point.
 Do wash the hands correctly and frequently.
 Make sure to check the students feel well.
 Try to give warm welcome.

During their self-isolation

 Do not lose contact with them.


 Use online delivery service as much as possible if they need something.
 Do wear face masks if you need to provide the essential stationery in person.
 Dispose face masks properly after use.
 Get in contact with the Lead to ask suggestions in urgent situations.

After self-isolation

Responsible persons are free to take the new students to show around the city, and do
registrations after their self-isolation. But, make sure to follow the rule of group of six.

Note: All responsible persons need to fill Form (1) which is provided in appendix 1, and report
back to the Lead after having finished. All the information will be kept as confidential.

Note for new students

 Do follow suggestions from your responsible person.


 Do keep your distance from others.
 Ask for help from your responsible person.
 Report to your responsible person and the Lead if you have any symptoms of Covid-19.
 Do wash your hands frequently and properly.
If someone have Covid-19 symptoms,

The Lead or Co-Lead (if the responsible persons or his respective student(s) have
symptoms) will arrange the appropriate actions. The responsible persons or his/her
students need to self-isolate until further notice, and the Lead will be investigating Form 1. The lead
will get in contact with Student Union, wellbeing service and Global support and NHS to set up the
appropriate actions. For urgent and emergency cases, DO NOT wait anything or anyone, and DO call
