For years now, one of difficulties of Sabang Elementary School is how to ensure
authentic data of the pupils most specially the CORRECTLY SPELLED NAMES, EXACT BIRTH
DATES, or RIGHT ENTRY ON SEX/GENDER simple because of unavailable valid reference :
Birth Certificate. Sometimes, the child has but not of his own because it is tampered, or in
several cases, the document has no registration number, or no record found in the PSA due
to undetermined reasons..
Prompted to act not only due to mandate but to help a child be identified by a name
or assist the country to have accurate/complete count of its citizens, the school aims to look
for stakeholders who are willing to give names to the unregistered learners with the Project
dubbed as “Pangaran kan Eskwela , Sagot Ko Na Project” . The innovation aims to ensure
that comes the opening of SY 2018-2019 , all the SES pupils are counted as Filipinos and
their records are absolutely accurate.

The school policy which imposes quality transition with the main criterion of achieving
promotion of only readers in primary grades ensures the ultimate goal of the school embedded in
the SIP. This is anchored to the DepEd’s Every Child a Reader Program (ECaRP). Reading. specially
in the key stage (Kindergarten-Grade III), plays as the primary tool to learning complex skills.
As observed, not all learners have the same phasing and ability to learn the reading skill.
Some need a more focused instruction and more time to eventually master this competence. Giving
them time , special attention and appropriate intervention will help improve their performance .
This will likewise aid them to be comfortable in the new learning level and be ready for a higher
degree of experience .Relatively, their interest towards studying will increase for they can
understand the lessons which are mostly reading and comprehension –based.
Determined to help these children improve along reading before the opening of SY 2018-
2019 ,the school proposes an innovative Brigada Eskwela Project dubbed as Brigada Basa.
This will be facilitated in collaboration with invited private school teacher-volunteers who
are also prime movers of making children read through patience and strategy. It is hope that with
this innovation , fifty percent of the respondents will become readers.

II. RATIONALE:
Making sure that the pupils in school are good health state is one of the thrusts of
the Department of Education. With which , Health care activities in school are in place the
context of the School Improvement Plan and the Annual Implementation Plan. It is
specifically included in the Wash in School (WinS) program in school. Similarly , it is also
highlighted as a rider-program in the 2018 Brigada Eskwela (BE).
Moreover, extreme need of which has surfaced in school for services and resource
are not enough to cater to the needs of more than One thousand five hundred pupils(1 500)
of Sabang Elementary School . Shortages of services , free supplies and medical care, though
in the city, is experienced . Services seem available for those who can pay for it.
With this, the school capitalizes the 2018 BE to invite private sponsors for the
holding of a Medical and Dental Mission which will address one of the Priority Improvement
Areas(PIAs)-mitigate problems on poor dental health( 95% of the pupils are diagnosed with
dental problem such as infection, gum ailment and cavities) as revealed in the year-end
dental check up conducted by the division dentist .Fluoridization can be done as suggested,
to ensure good dental health and well-being of learners .
The activity is really a big help to our learners . Thus , the proponent is truly
hopeful to look advocates / stakeholders who are willing to share time, effort and resources
for the future of this land.

The creation and adoption of the Association of South East Asian Nations of ten-
member states since 2007 has widened the horizon and linkages among the involved
countries along economic opportunities, particularly the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)
as reported in Jakarta in November 2015.
Besides the deepened influences within the AEC, impact has been traced along
cultural integration and awareness, but for more than a decade now, education integration
has not created significant impact for such hasn’t not been given much focus along
instruction .
Recently, DepEd Naga City’s Change Plan : Project TRANSForM Naga unveiled the
opportunities and possibilities the covenant among nations. This has widened collaborations
having in grouped with an association with One Vision , One Identity and One Community.
With the 2018 Brigada Eskwela’s direction towards achieving resilient schools and
community for a great future, deepening linkages through heightened awareness and
understanding on a one-of-a-kind collaboration , is giant leap to grasping a wonderful future.
Pegged on this, Sabang Elementary School proposes an innovation which will not
only lead the learners imagine ,but will let them co-own the membership as Filipino-
members of the ASEAN.

that will inspire the learners and even parents to find a better way to good life in the future
amid challenges of high inflation rate and related odds.
Having envisions the positive output of having resilient people, the school finds the
2018 Brigada Eskwela as opportune time to develop partly life skills in pursuit of the Change

One of the hindrances of pupils’ non-attendance to classes on the first day is the lack
of school supplies ,school uniform or shoes. This circumstance of the learners can be
addressed with a special project in school during Brigada Eskwela in collaboration with
generous stakeholders .
The proponent thought of engaging stakeholders into this project in order to lessen
the difficulty of learners and parents through provision of which. One hundred(100)
learners are identified as recipients of the said project.

Recycling , recycling and Reducing are strategies in order to utilize earth’s resources
wisely. These are also ways of protecting the environment from excessive pollution and use.
These reduce the demand for raw materials thereby conserving the earth’s resources.
These, if these would become an individual’s habit , everyone will be benefited.
The habit of reusing or recycling triggers creativity , 21 st Century skill. These engage
an individual to imagine and critically think on how to create new things which are
beneficial to others . Thinking critically may urge and individual to collaborate in order to
solve problems(21st century skills), particularly on ensuring the safety of person. This habit
is gradually improving himself and others. This, likewise ,can contribute for better future.
The 2018 Brigada Eskwela’s theme ,” Pagkakaisa para sa Handa, Ligtas at Matatag

Mind- conditioning among pupils from a long vacation takes time for children enjoy
playing , being with friends and families. Acceptance that that they need to cut off vacation
for school sometimes needs process for them to have an easy shift.
Inviting them to be with their schoolmates to talk about their activities on preparing
their things or tips on how they can prepare the easiest way can help them accept that
indeed vacation is over.
Moreover , preparing themselves on easy back to school and hygiene tips will help
them accept that they need to go back to school.
II. Objectives:

It’s a usual scenario during the opening of classes, Kindergarten and Grade 1 parents
peeping through the windows of the classrooms to see to it that their Kindergartners and
grade school children can see them or else they will go out of the room crying. On several
occasions , mothers sit beside their kids just to assure the of their presence.
But , what’s the cause of this behaviour. Why do children find difficulty on
separating from parents? How can they cope so that going to school would be a fun
experience for them?
This , without intervention ,oftentimes, results to dropouts . Not only that, in most
cases, this is the reason why other pupils do not enjoy schooling. With this, the proponent
proposes the holding of a symposium among the parents of the Kindergarten and Grade I
pupils on Minimizing Separation Anxiety Problem.
