ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

It gives us an immense pleasure to present the report of our project here. It has
been quite experience, facing a number of problems at stages and coming up with
appropriate solutions, at time the discussion amongst us or suggestions from our
friends and teachers.
We thank our guide Name of guide, Designation, Department of Electronics and
Telecommunication Engineering, in the best possible way. Without his guidance it
wouldn’t have been possible to reach this stage. We are very grateful for his support
and motivation.
We express our gratitude to Dr. S. V. Chougule, Associate Professor and Head of
the Department, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering for her invaluable
suggestions and constant encouragement.
Lastly, we would like to put our thanks on record to the teaching and non-teaching
staff for rendering their support directly or indirectly.
ABSTRACT

The need for intruder security alarm systems nowadays is a serious demand. As the
number of crimes are Increasing every day, there has to be something that will keep
us safe. We are all aware of the high end Security systems present in the market but
they are not easily available to everyone.

We therefore intend to provide a solution by constructing a cost efficient electronic

system that has the capability of sensing the motion of the intruders and setting off
the alarm. The basic idea behind this project is that all the bodies generate some
heat energy in the form of infrared which is invisible to human eyes. But, it can be
detected by electronic motion sensor.

The project involves the use of a simple program. The sensor detect any motion in
its permissible range and triggers the alarm. It will also send the signal which
processes the signal and set off the alarm along with Detection message on display.
With this system we can easily set up a intruder security alarm .

INTRODUCTION

An Intruder security alarm is a system designed to detect intrusion – unauthorised

entry – into a building or other area such as a Home, School, Bank, Hospital,
Temples. Intruder security alarm system is an important part of home security
systems. When intruders move in, the trip wire breaks or disconnect from the circuit.
This will trigger the alarm to sound alerting the user and scares away the intruders.
The resistive divider network is used to set the comparator levels.

IC555 timer is operated in astable mode to continuously and produces the waveform.
This output is applied to the high power LED, which flashes.

In this project we have used following components:

IC
Resistor
Resistor
Capacitor
Voltage source
Buzzer/Speaker
LITERATURE SURVEY

SURVEY EXISTING SYSTEM

A Simple circuit of wire break alarm that activates after a delay of 15 to 30 seconds.
When the thin-wire loop running across the entrance door is broken, the alarm
sounds after a delay of 15 to 30 seconds, the time period set through VR1. It is wired
as a timer here and does not need input pulse for trigger. Circuit gets activated as
soon as the power supply is switched on. The old system consists of a specified
timer and it doesn’t have a special trigger.
LIMITATIONS OF EXISTING SYSTEM

This circuit has a time set of 15 to 30 seconds. So it will trigger alarm a little bit late.
Also the setup is quite expensive. This circuit has a time set of 15 to 30 seconds
So it will trigger alarm a little bit . Also the setup is quite expensive.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Because of corona virus most of the people have lost their jobs and have choose the
wrong path of robbery so to solve this intruder alarm system can be used.

In 2017, the number of Theft cases increased by 15%.

Crime cases pie diagram

Fig no2.2

The figure 2.2 shows that robbery rate is more than any other crimes in our country.

So we decided to build intruder alarm system which is cost effective and easy to build in our
home. Also it’s useful for small shops, parking etc. So every single person in this world can
afford this simple piece of technology
Objective
This project is aimed at designing, simulating and implanting a cheap and reliable
alarm system using Small circuit that can detect
And warn on external intrusion.
When the wire breaks it should open/close the designed circuit and make the
alarm/buzzer to ring at high pitch.

The system has to satisfy the following:

1. Ensure the security of an office by deterring person intending to burglar and
Warning the occupants of office of any unauthorized entry into their
Premise.
2. Provide psychological satisfaction of being secure to the office occupant.
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

• In future it can be design such that it can connect many devices

• It can be further expanded with a voice interactive system facility .
• A feed back system can also be included which provide state of the device to
remote users.
• Can be used in vehicle tracking.
IMPLEMENTATION PLAN FOR NEXT

We have brought this idea of preparing a burglar alarm using simple wire-break
circuit. The circuit design is done. The wire-break setup is being studied.
Things to be implemented :
Working on triggering the alarm asa soon as the wire breaks with minimum delay.
Creating a circuit for this purpose.
Get the working of circuit done.
Tally the results and if not satisfying then work on it again
PROPOSED SYSTEM

ANALYSIS

The working of this circuit is very easy to understand. In the above circuit IC 555 was
used as a Astable multivibrator. The Astable multivibrator puts out a continuous
stream of rectangular pulses having a specified frequency. Thus by using the
Astable multivibrator we can produce continuous frequency which was given as input
to the speaker which makes an alarm sound in case of any disturbance in its trip
wire.
Now we can see how we can change the Astable Multivibrator to a alarm circuit. In
the above circuit the 4th pin (RESET pin) was connected to the ground using the thin
strand of copper wire which is used as a trip in this circuit. The function of the 4th pin
that it resets the timing interval when it was connected to the ground.

When the wire was connected the Multivibrator cant produce the rectangular pulses
of constant frequency. When the copper strand is cut off then the 4th pin will have no
connection with the ground. Therefore IC 555 produces the output pulse and which
was given as input to the speaker thus it drives the speaker to give a noise which
would scare the burglar away.

PROTO - circuit simulator

Features:
+ Animations of voltage values and current flows
+ Adjusts circuit parameters
+ Oscilloscope
+ Single play/pause button to control simulation

PROTO is an real time electronic circuit simulator which means you are able
to setup a circuit with varoius components and simulate behaviour of the
electronic circuit.
During simulation you can check voltages, currents and many other variables.
Check signals on multichannel oscilioscope and tune your circuit in real time!

SIMULATION
CONCLUSION

Thus, we have designed a intruder security alarm system using proto -circuit
simulator app, which is handy, portable, cost-effective and highly effective as well.
Such alarm systems are hugely in demand for security purposes, and thus the given
system can be proved useful and effective in view of the above feature.
