oil cooler fan motor.
Another flow goes to the port “P3” of the pump
modular valve through the solenoid valve (2)
and the pilot filter, pressure oil is reduced to
4MPa by the reducing valve (A). It is used as a Boom control valve
pilot pressure to control P1/P2 pumps. BT BP

〔Main circuit〕

When the travel spool valves are shifted into forward,


P1/P2 pump oil flow to the travel motors, causing the
motors to rotate. Once the spool valve is shifted, the
negative control line is cut-off and pump discharges
the maximum oil flow.

When the feed spool valve is shifted into forward feed (first notch),
P1 pump oil flows to the feed modular valve, it is reduced by the
reducing valve, then it flows to the feed motor.
The pilot relief valve (A) limits the maximum (primary) forward feed
pressure. The pilot line from port “V” is connected to the feed remote

When the feed spool valve is shifted into reverse feed, P1 pump oil
flows to the feed modular valve, then it flows to the feed motor
through the solenoid valve FR and deceleration valve.
The reverse feed maximum pressure can be regulated by the relief
valve (A). Flow volume is changed by shifting spool stroke.

Reduce the drifter backward speed

DR RED.
This condition shows that the Reverse feed circuit has operated.
When the drifter moves and approachs to the rear end of the guide
shell, the hose reel pushes down the cam of the deceleration valve,
causing flow to decrease and the feed motor revolution to decrease.
This action prevents the drifter from hitting the guide shell at fast
speed. Deceleration speed can be regulated by the needle valve (B).

This condition shows drilling operation.

When the anti-jamming switch is turned into anti-jamming during drilling and any of
DR RED. the following switches are turned on, the solenoid valve FR is energized. With the
solenoid valve FR is energized, forward feed flow goes to the port “B” of the feed
motor, thus the feed motor turns reverse even if you operate Forward feed.
There are four switches that would cause the solenoid valve FR to be activated;

Pressure switch (N) : On at 8MPa
Pressure switch (H) : On at 10MPa

When the rotation spool valve is shifted into forward, P2 pump oil flows to the

〔Pilot circuit〕
When the rotation lever is pulled, the proximity switch CLS-RF is turned on. With 14MPa
the proximity switch is turned on, the solenoid valve R is energized, causing pilot
pressure PS (4MPa) to flow to both of the P1/P2 pump regulators. It works to
increase pump power. 25MPa
Another pressure oil flows to the reducing valve, it is reduced to 1.9MPa by the
pilot relief valve (N). This reduced pressure flows to the port “NC2” of the P2 T2
pump regulator through the shuttle valve, it works to decrease flow.

Basic operation is same as the Forward rotaion in N mode circuit.
When the mode selector switch is turned on, the solenoid valve RM is 25MPa
energized, causing the pilot relief valve (H) to operate. The pressure H Mode

setting of the pilot relief valve (H) is 1.3MPa, it’s lower than the pilot N Mode

flows to the port “RR” of the drifter rotation motor, causing the motor

〔Pilot circuit〕
The operation is same as the Forward rotaion in H mode circuit. 25MPa
When the rotation lever is pushed, the proximity switch CLS-RR is
turned on. With the proximity switch is turned on, the solenoid valve T2
CLS-RR

ROTATION
RM is energized. Pressure oil (1.3MPa) flows to the port “NC2” of the
P2 pump regulator.

When the oscillating spool valve is shifted, P3 pump oil flows to the
B oscillating cylinders (A) through the double operate check valve (C)
and the oscillating lock valve (B).
The oscillating lock valve blocks one side of hydraulic cylinder oil flow
to stop the cylinder operation.
C The P3 maximum pressure can be regulated by the relief valve (D).

〔Main circuit〕
P5 pump oil flows to the dust collector modular valve. When the dust
collector switch is turned on and the flow switch is turned off, the solenoid
ON
valve DC is energized. Pressure oil flows to the dust collector fan motor, OUT IN
causing the motor to rotate.
OFF
The P5 maximum pressure can be regulated by the relief valve (A) and
fan speed can be regulated by the flow control valve (B).

This condition shows drilling operation.
1) Impact pressure is delivered to the port “P”.
2) Rotation pressure is delivered to the port “RD”, it operates the pilot directional control valve
(A). Impact pressure is reduced by the reducing valve (B), it flows to the drifter damper room
through the pilot directional control valve (A). The reducing valve (B) limits the maximum φ1.5

damper pressure.

3) The pilot line of the reducing valve is connected to the relief valve (C). This relief valve regu-
lates actual damper pressure. RF RR

4) Forward feed pressure is delivered to the port “FF”. This pressure oil works to increase
damper pressure. As feed pressure increases, damper pressure increases. L ACC

Initial setting: Damper pressure is set at 10MPa when feed pressure is 4MPa.

piston cylinder. However the motor does not rotate at this
time.
2) Pressure oil pushes the spool valve (D) causing return line to
connect with the reservoir. Also it unlocks the mechanical
parking break (C) then the motor starts rotating.
