Welcoming 1 2 3,….30. Ok, we are complete. But before we begin let me
first welcome you all in the beautiful province of Nueva
Tourists Vizcaya. In behalf of Yats Travel and Tours, I am Renelyn, but
you can call me Jhap. I am your official tour guide for today
who will give you 7,107 reasons to smile. And with me is our
very friendly coach captain, Kuya John. Say hi to Kuya John.
(HII) Great! We will be your companions for the rest of the day.
You can always approach us if you need any help.
But before we proceed there are some friendly reminders and
safety precautions that I want you to know so that our tour will
be smooth flowing and hassle free. So kindly keep in mind my
reminders.
 First, synchronize your time with my time so that no one
will be left behind, the time with me is 9:00 AM.
 Second, I have with me my whistle, if you hear me whistle
Pre-Arrival once, that means we are going to line up in front of the
bus because we are heading to our next top.
Activities and  Third, I have with me a flag that I will wave to locate me
easier.
Reminders  Fourth, I also have with me a first aid kit in case of
emergency.
 And last, observe a body-body system, walk in pair so that
no one will get lost.
So, we are about to start our very exciting tour. But nothing
would be possible without the presence of the Almighty
Father.
So, before we go on with our trip, may I request everyone to
bow our had and feel the presence of the Lord.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Lord as we embark on this journey, may you bestow upon us
your guiding hand and enlightening spirit, so that we would be
able to travel safely and be protected from harm along the
way. Bless every participant so that he or she would be able to

we realize that if we join our hand together in your name, we
can accomplish anything. We pray also for those whom we
leave behind. May your divine hands protect them from all
anxieties. May they be safe and secure in your love, as we also
are in our trip. All this we ask in the mighty name of Jesus,
Amen.
We are now ready to go, may we have the final count. 1, 2, 3,..
Head Count So, we have all in all 30 tourist/visitors plus me, your tour
guide.
Let me just give you a review about our itinerary for today. We
are now leaving our jump-off point which is the Capitol. Our
Discussing the first destination will be the People’s Museum and Library,
adjacent to it is the St. Dominic Cathedral. After visiting the
Itinerary Cathedral, we will pass through the Bay Walk going to the
Citrus Alley. Then we will go to Tatin’s Leisure Farm and Resort
then back to the Provincial Capitol.
I will give you first a brief history of Nueva Vizcaya. Nueva
Vizcaya is a beautiful land every Novo Vizcayano is justly proud
of. It is a former territory of the vast Cagayan Valley and often
referred to as the lowland Baguio because of its pleasant
climate. Before, some parts of the province are part of Isabela
but it was then turned into a politico-military province due to
Describing the the order of the Alcalde Mayor of Cagayan. The name was
derived from the Spanish province in the Basque Country. Its
Location people and culture are truly a melting pot due to the migration
of various ethnic groups from nearby provinces. The influx of
civilization and the infusion of modern technology to the life
stream of the province induced many immigrants from other
provinces to migrate contributing to the progress of the
province.
Now, on your left is the Saber Inn, one of the well-known and
On-Site Tour best accommodation facilities we have in the province. They
also have their restaurant which is the Quadro and bar. Also on
your left is the way going to Saint Mary’s University. Saint
Mary’s University is the first and only private catholic
educational institution in the province. In fact, Bayombong is
dubbed as the Education Center of the province because many
schools are situated here and students contribute to the life of
the town.

Going back to the history of the province, in 1942, Japanese

troops occupied Nueva Vizcaya. The Dalton Pass in Santa Fe
which now serves as a tourist destination commemorates the
death of General Dalton during the World War II. Bloodshed
happened in that place during the war when joined forces of
Filipinos and American soldiers fought the Japanese Invasion.
In 1607, the Dominican Order arrived in the province to preach
their religious belief. It was not until 1609, however when the
first settlement was established in the southern half of the
province. In 1702, a covenant was erected in Burubur at the
foot of the Caraballo Mountain in Santa Fe which is a present
barangay of the Aritao town. It was on this site the first mass
was celebrated and the baptism of Christian convert was held.

We are now approaching the People’s Museum and Library so

get ready, get your valuable things with you because we will go
down for about 10 minutes. Kindly register your name on the
logbook and after registering, please form two lines so that we
can start roaming around. On your right is the library where
different general references books are found. If you want to
know more about Nueva Vizcaya then this is a good place for
researchers and a place where students can concentrate in
their studies, make their brainstorming assignments and
prepare for their mind-blowing tests. On the other side is the
photo gallery where facts about provinces are being displayed
and occasionally, art works of different local artist is being
displayed here. In that room is the Provincial Tourism Office
under the Office of Governor. This building is the former seat
of the Provincial Governor before it was transferred at the
provincial capitol today which is our jump-off point. 3 Let us
now go upstairs. Rule no. 3 applies in this area, meaning no
cameras are allowed. Touching the exhibits is also strictly
prohibited. This Museum speaks for the rich history and culture
of the province. A place where remains of our forefathers are
being preserved. This museum tells some tales of this great
place. These antique things you can see here are the things
which were used by the ethnic groups in the province and
different people who are well-known in the place.

My dear tourists, 10 minutes is over. Let us go down and visit

the St. Dominic Cathedral. Saint Dominic Cathedral is a 200
year old church which was rebuilt twice due to a fire on April 3,
1987 and an earthquake on July 16, 1990, yet, the 18th century
Spanish style is still being preserved. It is the first Catholic
Church in the province. It also boasts of having the best
sounding church bell in the country. Somebody told me that if
it is your first time to visit a church, make a wish and it will
come true. Well, it is just a belief, but as people say, there is
nothing wrong if we do it. Visitors, I am giving you another 10
minutes to roam around, take pictures and offer your prayers.
Again, I am reminding you that solemnity is required, so refrain
from making any unnecessary noise. Time’s up. Let’s go back to
the bus. Is everybody here now? Kindly check your buddies.
Let’s go Mang John.

Okey, our next stop is the Citrus Alley. Aside from the
destination that we have visited and we are still bound to visit,
Nueva Vizcaya has many other tourist spots that you can still
visit. Places that will make you sigh, “too bad, too bad to miss
it”. We also have the Capisaan Cave, the fifth longest case
system in the Philippines and ranked one of the best,
considered a geologist’s paradise due to its varying rare calcite
formation and unique stalagmite and stalactite formation.
Within its four kilometer length is a subterranean river. The
very cold water is usually just a knee deep, but there are times
when it’s up to the waist and even up to the neck. So, be
prepared to climb, crawl like a soldier, walk like a duck and
make yourself fit small holes. Next is the Immugan falls, 35-
foot two-level falls with a swallow catch basin of refreshing
mountain spring interestingly located between two mountains.
Trek over streams and rivers emanating from the falls. Enjoy
trekking exploration, swimming, fishing and cultural
immersion. Aside from the Saint Dominic Cathedral, we also
have Saint Vincent Ferrer Church in Dupax Del Sur, one of the
oldest and biggest churches in North Luzon. It was constructed
in the 16th century as commissioned by two Augustinians
priests declared among the towns well-preserved colonial
monument. Beside the church is the oldest Acasia Tree in
Luzon planted by settlers from Nueva Ecija in 1880. Nueva
Vizcaya is not only known for its beautiful tourist destination
but it can also boost of its products like the tiger grass, the
major component in making soft brooms. It has been said that
the quality of the soft brooms produced from the province, has
the highest standard, when it comes to durability. Baskets and
other products made us of rattan are surly patronized in trade
fairs. Nueva Vizcaya is considered as the Citrus Capital of the
country. Its soil and climate are conductive for propagating
citrus varieties. The area is well known for its Vizcaya oranges.
We are now approaching the Citrus Alley where you can buy
souvenirs, fruit wines, different products from Nueva Vizcaya
and of course, the best tasting citrus ever! Before we go down
the bus, again check your valuables. I am giving you 10 minutes
to buy. Enjoy and happy bargaining. Ooooopppsss. Sad to note,
but time’s over. We have to go now to our next destination.
Everybody, board the bus and check your buddies. Is
everybody in? Okey manong John, let’s go. So how were the
fruits, Is it sweet? As sweet as the Novo Vizcayanos? We are
now going back to our jump-off point which is the Nueva
Vizcaya Capitol. Since Bayombong is the capital of the province
and our tour is focused with the town of Bayombong it is just
but proper to know a bit of information about it. Well, the
name Bayombong emanated from the Gaddang word
“Bayongyong” which means confluence of a might river. It was
said that a certain tribe arrived and tried to invade the place
which caused the outbreak of the First Tribal War in the area.
The site was renamed “Bayumbung” as a sign of the Gaddangs
victory in fighting for their private domains. The Spanish then
baptized the place Bayumbung which was later changed into
Bayombong. On the way to Bayombong, you can see the
“supa-dupa-mega” wide and green rice fields that impresses
and captivates our eyes. On your left is the public market of
Bayombong. On your right is the Municipal Hall of Bayombong
where you can find the different offices of the Local
Government Unit. We are now approaching the capitol,
dubbed as the Luneta of the North because its top view is a
replica of the beautiful landscape of Luneta Park in Manila. It is
a symbol of the noble aspirations, foresight and visions of its
builder, Governor Patricion Dumlao. On your right is the man-
made lagoon where you can go boating. 20 pesos is just
enough for couples or even dou-couples and the like. You’ll
absolutely love it and definitely beg for more. . . Sure but
money down first. We also have there a wishing well and a
grassy land where you can settle down which will surely give
you a nice experience despite all life's problems and struggles.
We also have here the Ammungan Park where families can
spend their quality time. They can enjoy while resting in a
peaceful environment. The park also has a replica of the
naturally crafted Salinas Salt Spring. Last stop is one of the
prides of the province, the Tribu Vizcayano Village where you
can see the “cultural houses” built by each municipality of the
province as an entry to the first ammungan festivals cultural
houses competition. Each entry depicts the cultural and ethnic
way of living of 5 the different tribes present in Nueva Vizcaya.
The village is open for public viewing. By the way, Ammungan
Festivals is an annual celebration, thanksgiving and showcase
of the power of divergence and unity of the tribes in Nueva
Vizcaya which commence every 19th day of May. Ammungan is
a Gaddang term which means gathering. This is only the few
things that make up the beautiful province of Nueva Vizcaya. A
province joined by peace, solidarity, unity and cooperation. A
place of great views and warm people. Indeed, it is a home of
heritage which gives Novo Vizcayanos a substantial reason to
be prouder. That’s Nueva Vizcaya, signed, sealed, delivered…
it’s yours.

the Holy Spirit, Amen.
