    The demarcation of the land boundary between Malaysia (Sarawak) and Brunei Darussalam is still ongoing, with only 16.5% of the 528 km border demarcated so far. Survey work has been completed on 87.27 km of the border but another 100 km is still under survey. The remaining 369.51 km has not yet seen any survey activities. Malaysia is waiting for Brunei to schedule the next Joint Land Boundary Committee meeting to endorse the surveyed sections.

    3. Land Boundaries Issues
     The demarcation and survey works on land boundary between Malaysia and
    Brunei is still on-going.
     The total distance of Sarawak-Brunei’s border is 528 km.
     As of January 2021, only 87.27 km or 16.5% have been demarcated and
    surveyed since the exercise commenced in 2014.
     Survey works for 100 km or 18% of the total distance is still on-going.
     Meanwhile, there is no survey activities carried out for 364.51 km or 69% of
    the total distance.
     Malaysia is currently awaiting for Brunei’s schedule for Joint Malaysia-
    Brunei Land Boundary Committee to endorse the surveyed area.
