CPCU Designation Scholarship

for Corporate Members

CPCU Designation Scholarship


Scholarship Overview
Each year, The Institutes offer 100 scholarships for the CPCU designation program as a way to give back to the industry and
encourage the pursuit of professional development. 80 scholarships are reserved for individuals working full-time. This scholarship
covers the cost of:
• CPCU study material (print and online)
• CPCU exam fees
• Matriculation
• Waiver fees (for qualifying external coursework)

Scholarship Nominee Qualifications


Each organization can select up to two applicants for the CPCU Designation Scholarship. Applicants must:
• Be nominated by a senior executive or senior level manager of an organization with a minimum of five employees
• Be engaged or interested in risk management and insurance and is able to meet the matriculation requirements for the
CPCU designation
• Be considered a high performer, based on recent reviews
• Be targeted for advancement
• Be able to complete the CPCU program within three years of receiving the scholarship

Required Materials
• Complete Application
• Letter of Recommendation (1 letter from a senior executive or senior level manager of the organization is required)
• Personal Statement (Why do you want to obtain the CPCU designation?)

What Scholarship Recipients Receive


In addition to the monetary value of the program, scholarship recipients will receive:
• A congratulatory letter and CPCU welcome kit explaining the program
• Recognition on The Institutes’ website and on social media platforms
• Special recognition at conferment at In2Risk
• Discounted CPCU Society membership, that would provide:
o Networking opportunities with other CPCUs
o Mentoring
o Opportunity to post a resume on the CPCU Society’s Job Network
