Course objectives
 To study the Architecture and Instruction set of 8085 and
8086
 To develop assembly language programs in 8085 and 8086
 To design and understand multiprocessor configurations
 To study different peripheral devices and their interfacing to
8085/8086
 To study the Architecture of 8051 microcontroller

 Introduction to Microprocessor and Microcontroller theory
and Applications
 Introduction to Microprocessor and Microcomputer
Architecture, 8085.
 Interfacing and Support chips: EPROM and RAM,
Programmable DMA, Programmable Interrupt Controller,
8085 and 8086.
 Advanced Microprocessor: Basic features of Advanced
Microprocessor, Intel 8086.
 Microcontroller: introduction to microcontroller and
Embedded system, 8051.

 Assignments :10 %
 Lab:
 Test 1: 15 % (6th week)

 Test 2: 15 % (11th week)

 Final Exam: 60 % (UE timetable)
