III. RATIONALE
The basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP) of Sta. Isabel National High
School followed the principles stipulated in the DepEd Order NO. 012. S. 2020 entitled
Adoption of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan for School Year 2020-2021 in
Light of the Covid-19 Public Health Emergency. Among the modalities offered by BE-LCP,
100% of the parents of this school chose printed modular learning modality in the Junior
High School and printed modular blended with online class learning in the Senior High
School.

However, during the first quarter of implementation of these modalities, problems and
challenges were encountered by the students, parents and teachers as well. During the
teacher-parent conference and home visitation of the teachers, majority of the parents as well
as students expressed their struggle on the use of printed module because according to them,
the SLMs/LAS needs further explanation. In response to this, the school tried implementing
intervention such as tutoring sessions, supplemental instructions, study skill sessions, school
counseling, home visitation, faculty mentoring, monthly teachers’ fellowship and blended
learning using online platforms in the senior high school, most of the students have difficulty
in accessing the internet due financial constraints.

To enhance the intervention program of the school which is deemed as the panacea to
other challenges brought by the pandemic in the education of the youths, launching SINHS
edukAKSYON sa Ere, Aksyon para sa Kalidad na Edukasyon, a Radio broadcasting
program will make it possible for the students to access supplementary discussion on the
lesson because most of them has a transistor radio in their houses.

Being a barrio school with three neighboring feeder barangays radio is possibly the best,
economical and safest intervention to reach every learner in their household amidst this
pandemic. Moreover, this will also be a platform to scaffold the bond between the
community and the school for the barangay will participate in thee broadcasting. Time will
be allotted for the important announcements and reminders of the Barangay Council.

Furthermore, the school also wants to utilize free time on air to showcase the talents of
the students creating a more inclusive school thus building confidence of the learners.

IV. OBJECTIVES
General: The project aims to reach every learner at their household for supplemental
discussion of the different lessons on their printed module.
Specific: 1. To put-up a radio-based instruction facility in the school.
2. To conduct a daily instructional broadcast within the community
3. To provide economical access to quality education to every student.
4. To showcase student talents using the radio.
5. To strengthen the bond of the school and the community.
