SAP INSTALLATION

SAP Installation is followed by three steps

1. Pre-Installation
2. Installation
3. Post Installation
1. Pre-Installation Process:

The Preinstallation Process is followed by

a) Hostname: Host Name Should be less than or equal to 13 characters

Note: Host name can also be referred as computer name/system name /server name

b) IP address Should be Static


c) Virtual memory /Swap Memory should be always 3* RAM/ 24GB minimum.
d) JAVA should be installed
e) Software Media should be downloaded

To assign a static IP to the personal computer: install Loop Back adapter by using the
command HDWWIZ.EXE. A pop up window will be displayed to install the driver. Click
on next→A popup window will be displayed as follows

a) Now click on install the Hardware that I manually select from list and click on next
b) A list of hardware Devices list will be appeared now click on Network adapters
c) A list of Manufacturers will be Displayed now click on Microsoft and select on
Microsoft Km Test Loop Adapter and click next

d) Now click On next A pop up window will displayed as follows and click on next to
install hardware
e) Now click on finish the hardware driver is installed
f) Now go to Control panel> Network and Internet > Network Connections > click on
Ethernet 2 adapter > right click properties> Click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IPv4)and
click on properties.
g) A pop up window will be displayed as follows

h) Now Click on the Use the following ip address and assign the ip address ranging
from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.255.255 and click on Ok
Example: 192.168.10.10
b)

After Completion of Pre Installation activity now installation of sap should be followed

2. Installation:
1. Go to the Folder where SAP download Software is present
2. Go to SWPM folder and Click On application file sapinst and run as administrator a
pop window will be appears as sap installation is starting
3. The available installation options will be shown as follows and click on SAP business
suite 7i 2013 support release 2 and click on next
4. After click on EHP FOR SAP 6.0 ABAP support release 2 and click on next
5. No Click on EHP7 for SAP ERP 6.0 ABAP Support Release 2 and expand the options

6. Now click on Application Server ABAP And click on Application server ABAP and
expand the Folder it shows the window as follows
7. Click on Standard System and click next.
8. A window will be displayed as to select the parameter settings.> click on Typical
settings and click on next

9. Now a window will be appeared to select General SAP parameters now give SAPSID
as you wish eg: XYZ and destination drive to save.

10. Now a window will be displayed to give DNS domain Name .uncheck the tick box
and click. DNS will be available in real time working orgnisation .In this case
uncheck and clickon next
11. Now a window will be opened to to give the master password and reconfirm the
password and click on next

12. Now give the DBSID as XYZ and Host name as SAP ECC .(we can DBSID AND
HOST NAME AS OUR WISH)
13. After Clicking Next a window will be opened to give the software media location of
kernel. Now browse the location of Kernel where you have downloaded and give the
paths and click on next the windows will be appeared as follows and click on next

14. Now the Prerequisites results will be displayed ,Click on next


15. Now Give the paths where DB paths are available and Click on next.

16. Now DB Path is imported and click on next


17. Now a window will be opened to give the paths for the Exports and give the Exports
paths and Click on next
18. Now click on next and a declustering page will be opened and click on don’t
delcluster /depool ABAP tables and click next
19. Now SAP System Database import window will be opened and click on next

20. A window SLD destination for the SAP System on OS level will be opened ,tick rhe
option No SLD destination and Click on next
21. Now the Window opened to provide key ,click on default key and proceed to next

22. A parameter Summary will be opened and click on next to proceed the installation
23. Now installation Process will be started ,it may take few hours depending upon the
Hardware available in the installation system . After installation it show the message
as successfully installed
Installing GUI:

After Installing Software Provisional management, go to the media software


downloaded and go to GUI7.5 and navigate to the following folders
D:\SAP\GUI_7.5\PRES1\GUI\WINDOWS\WIN32 and Click on Setup all. The
following window will be appeared

24. Now click on next ,a window will be displayed to select the drive where Installers
should be installed
25. After that select all a window will be displayed to select the installers click on
select all to proceed to installation .The front end installer will start the installation
and after that click on finish

After the installation of both SWPM and GUI a short cuts will be appeared on desktop,
first click on SAP Management console and Run as administrator. After that it will be
displayed Installed servers in left corners of the windows .Right click on the server click
on Start it will be asked for the password .the password is nothing but the master
password you have given the during the installation. The server will be started indicating
the colours like Grey:---- The server is in stop state

Yellow ---- The server is processing state means some services yet to be
started

Green ---→The Server has started

Now open SAP Log on Software and go to connections and Create GUI entries
Click on new a page will be displayed click on next
A window will be displayed to give description, application ,instance number, system id
click on next and finish a new GUI ENTRY will be created

login on with Client ----000

Username: sap*

Password: Master password

After Installation process Now POST Installation Activity should be performed.

3. Post Installation:

SICK: To check the Installation Errors

(Or)

To check the System consistency


SE06: To check the Post installation Activities

STMS:

1.Upon starting STMS, a windows with the title TMS: Include System in Transport Domain should
be displayed
2. The information on *this* screen is automatically filled out from information provided during the
SAP installation and should be correct. If it correct, then enter a description *for* the system and
press +S to save. Otherwise, press the Other configuration button and manually configure.
3. From the Overview menu, select Transport Routes
4. From the Configuration menu, select Adjust with Controller
5. Press the Yes button when prompted *if* you want copy the transport routes from the controller.
RZ10:

1. From the Utilities menu, select Import Profiles then Of Active Servers.
(Note: All application servers of the target system must be started)
2. If the Display Profile Check Log screen is displayed, press to leave *this* screen.
3. Select the Profile field and press to bring up a list of profiles.
4. From the list select one of the profiles associated with the source production
system.
5. From the Profile menu, select Delete, then All versions, then of a profile.
6. When prompted, press the Yes button to delete all version of the profile
7. When prompted to delete the file at the operating system level, press the No button.
8. Repeat steps 3 through 7 *for* all additional profiles associated with the source
system

SLICENSE:

Displays the license of the installation

SM21:

DISPLAYS THE SYSTEM LOGS


ST22: DISPLAYS THE ABAP RUN TIME ERRORS

DBACOCKPIT:
It displays the DB information
SCC4: TO CREATE THE NEW CLIENT

Click on Pen symbol to create new client

Now click on entries to add the details


After providing the details of client, city name, std currency and client role click on save
a new client will be added

SCCL: TO PERFORM THE CLIENT COPY

1. Select target client


2. Select the selected profile
3. Select the source client
4. Click on schedule as background job
5. Save
SCC3

Displays the log file
