November 25-December 12, 2020

Along with the department's mission and vision to promote awareness on


GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT; DepEd Surigao del Sur Division launched a
month long program on Gender and Development on November 12-December
15,2020.

This month long launching pave the way for the implementation of various
programs. All teachers from the entire division answered an Online Survey on
gender and development pertaining to the issues and concerns that teachers
have attended and are willing to attend considering the present concerns
rampant in this challenging school year. Furthermore, Teachers also
participated a number of webinars all pointing on the importance of promoting
gender and development among the students, stakeholders and all others
concerned.

All in all, the month-long program is very successful as everyone have known
the value of gender and development programs through the surveys they have
answered and the webinars they have attended. This further creates/ignites a
much and full understanding on creating awareness and promoting gender
sensitivity promoting strength, positivity, and possibilities.
