Task Performance

Instructions:
1. Work with your group and perform the following:
• Research and look on the case of Melva Nath versus Shangri-La Manila Hotel and respond to
the following questions:
o Did the company observe due process in the case?
o Do you agree with the decision of the court? Why or why not?
o Why do you think tourism-related establishments are more prone to labor cases than
other industries?
• Research/Develop labor best practices for tourism and hospitality entities to prevent, like the
case mentioned above, from happening.

2. Place your output on a Word file with the following text formatting:
• Font, size: Calibri, 11
• Spacing: Single
• Margin: 1” all sides

3. Upload your output via eLMS Dropbox with the filenaming format: 08TP <Group#>.
4. The deadline for the submission of your output is on Week 14 (examination week).
5. Your output will be evaluated using the following rubric:
