ABOUT OUR ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Mitchell T. Davey is a composer, conductor and tenor from Spokane.
A recent graduate of Gonzaga University, Mitch studied music
composition under the direction of Dawn Sonntag and Kevin Waters.

During his years at Gonzaga, Mitch ventured into choral conducting,

studying with Timothy Westerhaus. He has served as a student
conductor for the Gonzaga University Chamber Singers and has
conducted this chorus in the States as well as abroad in Zambia
and Zimbabwe. Mitch has conducted Chorale Coeur d’Alene in
performances as well. He also frequently conducts premiers and
performances of his own compositions.

As a composer, Mitch has written an expansive repertoire of music

covering a wide variety of styles, including choral works, chamber
music, hymns and other sacred works, art songs, and solo works for
piano, organ, and violin. In addition to his original compositions,
Mitch is an experienced arranger. His arrangement of the Zambian choral work, Emlanjeni, has been widely
performed by the Gonzaga University Concert Choir under the direction of Timothy Westerhaus and Pacific
Youth Choirs under the direction of Mia Miller.

Mitch currently sings with the Kantorei Choir in Spokane and as a choral scholar with Chorale Coeur d’Alene.

ABOUT OUR ACCOMPANIST

Maura Kegley started piano lessons when she was in second
grade.

Later, she played for choirs from fifth grade on through high
school, where she also accompanied musicals before and after
she graduated.  She played for a traveling ensemble while

on to play for several area churches, ballet schools, restaurants
and department stores.  She studied jazz under Arnie Carruthers
and studied classical with Carl Leuer and Dr. David Rostkoski.
She also worked as an organist and choir pianist at several local
