The document is a consolidated lab report submitted by Hemant Pamnani containing the results of 3 experiments. The first experiment analyzes inverting and non-inverting op-amp amplifiers with a gain of 5 for DC and AC signals. The second experiment designs a summing amplifier to add multiple input voltages. The third experiment analyzes op-amp based differentiator and integrator circuits through multiple circuit designs and simulations. The report includes circuit diagrams, output waveforms, and conclusions for each experiment verifying the operation of the amplifier and filter circuits.

CONSOLIDATED LAB REPORT (EXP 1 ,2 &3)

Name-Hemant Pamnani

Registration no.-18BEC1241

EXPERIMENT-1

INVERTING AND NON INVERTING OPAMP

Aim:-Design an inverting and non inverting amplifier for the given gain of 5
and verify its operation for both dc and ac.

Theory:- In an inverting amplifier circuit, the operational amplifier inverting

input receives feedback from the output of the amplifier.

Voltage gain (A)= Vout/ Vin = – Rf/Rin

The non-inverting amplifier is one in which the output is in phase with respect
to the input. The feedback is applied at the inverting input. However, the input
is now applied at the non-inverting input. The output is a non-Inverted (in
terms of phase) amplified version of input.

Voltage gain (A) = Vout/ Vin = (1+ Rf/Rin)

EXPERIMENT-2

SUMMING AMPLIFIER

Aim:- a) Design an inverting summing so that V0=-(8 Va +4 Vb +10Vc+6Vd) .

b)Design a circuit which will add voltages provided by separate three

pressure sensors each in the range 0<Vsensor<5 and produce a positive
voltage Vout linearly correlated to the voltage sum such that Vout =0 when all
3 voltages are zero and Vout =2V when all three voltages are at their
maximum. Verify your result by analyzing the final circuit .

Theory:-

A Summing amplifier is also called as Voltage adder since its output is the
addition of voltages present at its input terminal.

The summing amplifier uses an inverting amplifier configuration, i.e. the input
is applied to the inverting input terminal of the op-amp, while the non-
inverting input terminal is connected to ground.
VOUT = – {(Rf/RIN) {V1 + V2 + V3 + ……….. + VN}

A non-inverting summing amplifier can also be constructed, using the non-

inverting amplifier configuration. That is, the input voltages are applied to the
non-inverting input terminal and a part of the output is fed back to the
inverting input terminal, through voltage-divider-bias feedback.

Vo = (1+ (Rf/R1)) (( Va+Vb+Vc)/3)

EXPERIMENT-3

DIFFERENTIATOR AND INTEGRATOR CIRCUIT

Aim:- a) Design a Differentiator with R=100k and C=0.01uF ?Sketch the

Waveform if Vi=5 sin(2*pi*500t)

b) A 10V dc voltage is applied to an integrator with R =50K and C=100uF at

t=0 . How long will it take for op-amp to saturate if saturation voltage are
+12V and -12V .Assume that initial capacitance voltage is zero.

c) A voltage waveform has the following characterstic a positive slope of

20V/s for 5ms followed by negative slope of 20V/s for 5 ms . If a sine wave is
applied to a differentiator with R=50K and C=10uF Sketch the output
waveform .

d)Using single op-amp and resistor less than 100K Design Vo=-50 Integration
(Vi(t)) t varies from 0 to t?
Theory:- An op-amp based differentiator produces an output, which is equal
to the differential of input voltage that is applied to its inverting terminal.

An op-amp based integrator produces an output, which is an integral of the

input voltage applied to its inverting terminal.
