Loosely Coupled Wireless Charging of Footwear Based Sensor System

The document proposes a loosely coupled wireless charging system for smart footwear sensor systems. Existing Qi charging systems require precise coil alignment and removal of the insole to charge. The proposed system uses an insole with a receiving coil and a charging station with a transmitting coil that allows charging with a lower coupling coefficient. This provides more convenient charging without removing the insole. It also allows charging from various positions and orientations.

LIMITATIONS CONCLUSION

 Charging stations are not portable  The wireless charging eliminates the need for chords
 It is inefficient as compared to traditional charging method  Provides the consumer a more convenient charging
 The heat generated in wireless charging is comparatively experience
high  Qi charging is inefficient due to long charging distance and
 It takes a considerable amount of time than traditional less coupling coefficient
method  The proposed system has improved coupling coefficient
