1. Knowledge and understanding of the Course Work/Assignment

Students are required to work in group for a Presentation on a pre-decided topic after the
approval of the instructor. The topics will be mailed to the students two weeks prior to the
presentation. They will present their PPT (presentation -10%) in class and be ready to
answer oral questions (viva -10%) on the topic. The PPT will be checked for plagiarism and
the same to be uploaded on LMS by the student groups.

2. Application and analysis of the topic (subject specific Skill)

Students are required to:


 To work in groups, do research on the topic and make a presentation on the topic allocated.
 The presentation should be innovative, applying critical thinking skills which could also
include a video, role play, case study or a simulation exercise.
 Students must be well versed with the content of the presentation.

 Students must rehearse the presentation before presenting in front of the audience.
 The presentation should be a maximum of 10 minutes, wherein all members of the group
must engage themselves.
 Students of the group must ensure the content is original and the similarity index of the
Turnitin submissions is less than 15%

3. The structure in terms of logic and coherence

Submissions should have a clear start and a clear end. Information within submissions should also be
logical and well grouped.

Please note all assignments shall subject to plagiarism software checks, through “TURNITIN” or
any other equivalent software.

6. Marking Rubric

A marking rubric need to be prepared for respective courses in line with the recommendatory Rubric
issued by CQC.
A sample for this course is attached in Annexure 1.

7. Plagiarism

Amity Plagiarism policy will be followed, and all submissions will be checked for plagiarism on
Turnitin. Refer to course guide for plagiarism and referencing details.

8. Important Instructions

1. Plagiarism is a serious offence. In case of any plagiarism detected, penalty will be imposed
leading to zero mark.
2. Presentation should be submitted on time and submission after deadline will be marked zero.
3. Students must take the viva individually following the group presentation.
4. Name, student identification and title of the course work to be written clearly and legibly.

9. Indicative Performance Threshold

The evaluation will be done as per standard marking rubric and indicative performance threshold.
Refer to course guide for Indicative Performance Threshold.

Course work brief


1. Students are required to work in groups towards the development of group presentation,
supported with theories and concepts covered in the lectures.
2. Give a presentation on one of the topics from the module, by using the knowledge and theories
obtained in the lectures/internet/library/reference books.
3. Presentation methods: PowerPoint, videos, role-plays, case study, and simulation exercises,
interviews, etc.
4. The PPT must be made on the RICS official template only. (The template will be shared on LMS
by the instructor).
5. It is extremely important to show cooperation and participation during the preparation for the
presentation. Anyone who is absent from the group meeting or devotes no effort in the
presentation without reasons would not be assessed.
6. After presentation, there is a 5 minutes Q & A.
7. Latecomers, disturbance or any hostile questioning will receive a punishment of reduction of
marks.
8. Students must dress formally while delivering the presentation.
9. After the presentation, a one to one viva will be conducted for every student.

Annexure 2: Presentation format

Presentation:
Microsoft PowerPoint with listing of group member’s name, enrolment number, section and their
contribution. Try to be brief and concise. All presentations shall be checked for originality through
Turnitin. Maximum number of slides to be restricted to 10 per group per submission. The content of
presentation will be checked for the following:
