Fundamentals of Aircraft Structures

This document outlines the course objectives, outcomes, schedule, and textbooks for a course on fundamentals of aircraft structures. The course aims to teach students basic concepts of stress and strain, analysis and design of aircraft components, and types of loads on aircraft. Over 15 weeks, students will use ANSYS software to analyze aircraft structures, learn failure theories, and design joints through lectures, practical sessions, and assignments. By the end of the course, students will be able to solve statically indeterminate structures, analyze aircraft buckling, and relate failure theories to aircraft design.
