Allamanda Cathartica (Allamanda)
Family: Apocynaceae

Commonly called golden trumpet. Quick


growing climber with shining foliage and bell
shaped bright yellow flowers.

Bignonia unguis-cati (Cat’s claw)
Family: Bignoniaceae

Evergreen light climber ability to climb up ware


walls and pillars with emerging foliage purple-
red. Good for making topiary.

Bougainvillea species (Bougainvillea)
Family: Nyctaginaceae

Evergreen climber, valued for bracts and


foliage. The insignificant flowers are
surrounded by brightly colored papery bracts
that persist on the plant for a long time.

Ipomoea Quamoclit (Cypress Vine)
Family: Convolvulaceae

Fine textured dark green foliage like ferns and


crimson red flowers. Cypress vine can grow 10-
15 feet in a season. It is a twining vine. Twining
vines climb by twisting their stems or leaf stalks
around a support.

Family: Moraceae

Creeping fig is a prostrate or climbing shrub;


when young, flattened, creeping and clinging
close to adobe walls, woods, etc., and
ascending when old with ultimate branches 30
to 80 centimeters long.

7 Quisqualis Indica (Rangoon Creeper)


Family: Combrataceae

Fills the air with an intoxicating sweet and fruity


fragrance at night. It is hardy, can take heat;
this one is growing atop a sheet of galvanized
roof. Flowers seem to wilt by day because of
the summer heat then opens up in the evening
to release its evening aroma.

8 Lonicera Japonica (Honey Suckle)


Family: Caprifoliaceae

Evergreen heavy quick growing creeping plant


with fragrant flowers. Honeysuckle is also used
for urinary disorders, headache, diabetes,
rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer.

Clitoria ternatea, commonly known as Asian


pigeonwings, bluebellvine, blue pea, butterfly
pea, cordofan pea and Darwin pea, it is revered
as a holy flower. The flower on these plants
blossoms all year round producing beautiful
blue flowers.

provide antioxidant benefits.

Family: Lamiaceae

Sage is an attractive culinary herb. Its common


names include culinary sage, common garden
sage, or garden sage. Sage is used for
digestive problems, including loss of appetite,
gas (flatulence), stomach pain (gastritis),
diarrhea, bloating, and heartburn.

Family: Lamiaceae

Thyme is the herb of some members of the


genus Thymus of aromatic perennial evergreen
herbs in the mint family Lamiaceae. Thymes
are relatives of the oregano genus Origanum.
They have culinary, medicinal, and ornamental
uses. Thyme is thought to have antibacterial,
insecticidal, and possibly antifungal properties.

Oregano is a herb from the mint, or Lamiaceae


family. People have used it for thousands of
years to add flavor to dishes and to treat health
conditions. It features in the Mediterranean
diet. The Greeks and Romans associated
oregano with joy and happiness..

are a small- to medium-sized perennial woody plant. It has persistent
woody stems above the ground. They are distinguished from trees
by their multiple stems and shorter height, less than 6–10 m tall.

Family: Euphorbiaceae

Dwarf, evergreen shrub with multi-colour


foliage and good for planting in tropical areas.
The croton plant is often grown outdoors in
tropical climates, but also make excellent
houseplants. Crotons come in a wide variety of
leaf shapes and colors.

Evergreen, large shrub with glossy green


leaves and red, cream, saffron, yellow or white
flowers almost throughout the year and it is

Thryallis (Galphimia glauca) is an evergreen


shrub of medium size that produces yellow
flowers year round. It thrives in sub-tropical
climates. Thryallis grows to about six to nine
feet (two to three m.)

Family: Verbenaceae

Lantana plants are evergreens of the broadleaf


variety. Although they may act a little like vines,
they are classified by botanists as shrubs.
Because of the vine-like appearance of their

recently described variety, Ficus benjamina

25 Livistona Rotundifolia (Anahaw Tree)


Family: Arecaceae

Anahaw is a native palm with smooth leaves or


a tree of wood and with leaves bent on the
edges of branches. It is considered the
National Leaves of the Philippines. The leaves
of Anahaw are broad, round, and green. The
leaves of this palm tree can be used as a
material for the roofing of huts.
