LeaP Math G8 Week 7 Q3a

This document outlines a mathematics lesson on triangle congruence for 8th grade students. The lesson includes (1) definitions and theorems on triangle congruence, (2) examples proving statements of congruent triangles using angle-side-angle (ASA) and side-angle-side (SAS) postulates, and (3) practice problems for students to complete the proofs. The goal is for students to prove statements on triangle congruence.

A. Introduction In this lesson, you are going to prove statements on statements on
congruent triangles. So it is very important that you have already mastered
the way of identifying the congruent angle and congruent sides of two
congruent triangles.

Below are the definitions, theorems, and postulates that can be used in
proving triangle congruence.

CPCTC reminds us that, if two triangles are congruent, then every

corresponding part of one triangle is congruent to the other.
