SCRIPT FOR WEBINAR

BEFORE THE WEBINAR

 Ladies and gentlemen, as we are about to begin, please be on your comfortable seat.
 I have a few housekeeping notes to make before we begin today’s program. I would like to seek
your cooperation in completing this webinar.
 Keep your background or environment free from distracting elements.
 Look for a quiet place.
 Mute your microphone if you are not the speaker and to avoid sound feedback.
There is a specific portion on this program where You will have your moment to

BEGINNING

To start the program, let me first share my own research about Gulayan sa Paaralan.

To address malnutrition and hunger, the department of education has put in place poverty alleviation
schemes that will help promote food security and economic stability for the affected families. Thus,
Gulayan sa Paaralan or GPP was then implemented in support to the hunger mitigation initiatives of the
Government. DepEd Memorandum No.293, s.2007 was issued to encourage both public elementary and
secondary schools to establish school gardens to ensure continuous supply of vegetables for school
feeding.

Since we are facing and fighting for a global health concern, the need to implement the GPP is highly
encouraged, the reason is to promote food security in schools and communities through self-help food
production activities and values among learners, and appreciation of agriculture as a life support system.

To make this initiative successful, as mandated by DepEd, the Division of Pampanga continuously train
GPP leaders about agriculture: From funding, Preparation, Harvesting and utilization. Hence, last May
18,2021, as one of the recipient of the Gardening tools, our GPP Leader and School Headattended the
webinar on the Sustainability and Household Replication of Gulayan sa Paaralan Program.

SUSTAINABILITY AND HOUSEHOLD REPLICATION OF GULAYAN SA PAARALAN PROGRAM.
