This document contains the scores of 10th grade students from Baybay National High School on their 3rd quarter examinations. It includes a table listing each student's scores in 7 subjects and MAPEH and TLE. It also contains the following: - A definition of quartiles as the three points that divide data into four equal groups - the first (Q1), second (Q2, which is the median), and third (Q3) quartiles. - Calculations to determine the first (Q1), second (Q2), and third (Q3) quartiles of the students' total scores. - The results of the calculations show that Q1 is 21.7, Q2 is

A quartile is a type of quantile. The first quartile (Q1) is defined as the middle number
between the smallest number and the median of the data set. The second quartile (Q2)
is the median of the data. The third quartile (Q3) is the middle value between the median
and the highest value of the data set.

This A quartile divides data into three points –  a lower quartile, median, and upper
quartile – to form four groups of the data set. The lower quartile or first quartile is
denoted as Q1, and is the middle number that falls between the smallest value of the
data set and the median. The second quartile, Q2, is also the median. The upper or
third quartile denoted as Q3 is the central point that lies between the median and the
highest number of the distribution. Now, we can map out the four groups formed from
the quartiles. The first group of values contains the smallest number up to Q1; the
second group includes Q1 to the median; third set is the median to Q3; and fourth
category comprises Q3 to the highest data point of the entire set.
