ITC Assignment 1

A supercomputer is a type of computer that has the architecture, resources and components to achieve massive computing power through tens of thousands of processors that can perform billions or trillions of calculations per second. Supercomputers are primarily designed for enterprises and organizations requiring massive computing power through parallel and grid processing across thousands of processors distributed among them. The latest and most powerful supercomputers in the world include Fugaku, Summit, Sierra, Sunway Taihulight, Tianhe-2, Sequoia and MIRA.

SUPERCOMPUTER

A supercomputer is a type of computer that has the architecture, resources and components to
achieve massive computing power. Today's supercomputers consist of tens of thousands of
processors that are able to perform billions and trillions of calculations or computations per
second.
Supercomputers are primarily designed to be used in enterprises and organizations that require
massive computing power. A supercomputer incorporates architectural and operational
principles from parallel and grid processing, where a process is simultaneously executed on
thousands of processors or is distributed among them.
Latest supercomputers in the world:
 Fugaku
 Summit
 Sierra
 Sunway Taihulight
 Tianhe-2
 Sequoia
 MIRA

manager. Personal digital assistants are used for Web browsing, office applications, watching
videos, viewing photos or as mobile phones. Personal digital assistants model features vary, but
current common features include touch screen displays, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity,
memory card slots, mobile software applications and multimedia support. Nowadays Artificial
Intelligence has totally changed the PDA’s by making it much faster, intelligent, smooth and
reliable.
Examples:
 Cortana
 Google Home
 Apple’s Siri
 Palm OS units
 Windows CE

How does it Work?

PDAs vary in how you can input data and commands. Hand-held computers typically use a
miniature keyboard in combination with a touch screen. The tiny, four-inch screen on a palm-
sized computer serves as an output and an input device. It displays information with an LCD,
similar to that you'd find on a laptop. But on top of the LCD sits a touch screen that lets you
launch programs by tapping on the screen with a pen-like stylus or enter your data by writing on
it.
Regardless of the type of PDA, they all share the same major features:

 Microprocessor
 Operating System
 Solid-State Memory
 Batteries
 Lcd Display
 Input Device - Buttons in Combination with Touch-Screen or Keyboard
 Input/Output Ports
 Desktop Pc Software
