3. Working Principle
3.1 Feeding Products

Fig. 3—1—1

Products to be weighed are firstly delivered by Conveyor and fed into the Infeed Funnel. Then it can be
dispersed to Linear Feeders from the vibrating Top Cone controlled by programs. The products flow
thickness can be changed by adjusting the height of the Infeed Funnel. As shown in Fig.3—1—1.

-8-
Multihead Weigher Instruction Manual
3.2 Weighing Products

Fig. 3—2—1

Products are distributed evenly into each Linear Feeder Pan, stored in Feeding Bucket. Then the
products are previous weighed in Weighing Bucket and cleaned out. After that, products in Feeding
Buckets can be fed into Weighing Buckets to prepare for a next combination. As show in Fig. 3-2-1.

3.3 Collecting Products

The weight values from each Weighing Bucket (Fig. 3—3—1) is added up and numerous
combinations which meet the set deviation from Target Weight are calculated out, then the closest one to
the Target Weight is selected out (Fig. 3—3—2).

1. Paramters of product weights in bucket: “AFC” , “Amplitude Of Top Cone” , “Amplitude Of Linear
Feeder”. When AFC 0: larger “Amplitude Of Top Cone” and “Amplitude Of Linear Feeder” , more
products weight in each bucket

When AFC 1: Product weight in each bucket is smaller when the QTY of buckets to be combined are
larger.

When AFC 2: Product weight in each bucket is larger when product weight in single bucket is larger.
Forced Combination: qualified rate and speed is higher when this value is larger. As shown in Fig.
3—3—2. If there is no qualified weight during the combination, and set this value “100”, if one
Weighing Bucket was not combined, it will execute “Forced Combination Release” function to make
sure the machine running well.

collecting hopper and stored there. The they are discharged. So that it can reduce the impact when
products in different heights. As shown in Fig. 3—4—1

Fig. 3—4—1

Discharge products selectively(double door collecting hopper): qualified products are dumped into next

process like packaging, while unqualified products are dumped by the other gate to avoid the waste of

package material. As shown in Fig. 3-4-2

Fig. 3-4-2

Discharge products by order(double door collecting hopper): Weighed products can be discharged via
