Steps of Printer Sharing On Network

To share a printer on a network, first install the printer and share it from the computer it is connected to. Then, on other computers on the network, add the shared printer by searching for and selecting it. Once added, the shared printer will appear in the devices and printers menu where you can send a test print to verify the setup. The computer with the physical printer connected must be powered on for other computers to access and print to the shared printer.

STEPS OF PRINTER SHARING ON NETWORK

Step 1:- Click on Start Button->Click on Control Panel-> Click on Network and
Sharing Center->click on Change advanced sharing settings
Step 2:- First start with the computer the printer is connected to. Make sure it‘s
installed correctly with the latest drivers. click Start >> Devices and Printers.

Step 3:- Next, right-click on the printer you want to share and select Printer
Properties.
Step 4:- Click the Sharing tab. Make sure Share this Printer is checked and give it
an easy to remember share name. Click OK.

Step 5:- The computer the printer is attached to will need to be powered on to
find and print to it. Now go to the other computer you want to print from. Click
Start >> Devices and Printers.
Step 6:- Click Add a Printer.

Step 7:- Next, click Add a Network, Wireless or Bluetooth Printer.

Step 8:- The system will search your network for the shared printer. When it finds
the printer, highlight it and click next.
Step 9:- Success. Click Next

Step 10:- Back in Devices and Printers, you‘ll find the printer listed. Send a test
page to the printer to verify it‘s working.
Step 11:- If Windows doesn‘t automatically find the printer, click The Printer That
I Want Isn‘t Listed.

Step 12:- Check Select a Shared Printer by Name and type the path in directly.
Step 13:- Or click Browse to find the printer and select it.
