1. Exercise VI
1. Jet lag worse when we travel eastward, because In traveling toward the east the
body more adjust by shortening day its day , going against the body’s natural
tendency. This explains why trips from west to east often result in greater
suffering in jet lag.
2. There are three primary causes of jet lag. First, people often wear themselves out
getting ready for a trip, so they are already exhausted when they get on the plane.
Second, long-distance travelers often have a couple of drinks to pass the time.
And the last, jet lag is the fact that long distance air travel upsets your internal
biological clock, that’s explain that our inner clock controls our cycle of sleeping
and waking.
3. To minimize jet lag we can do:
a. Get plenty of rest before our trip
b. Gradually adjust our schedule before we leave
c. Regulate bright light exposure

will overcome jet lag more quickly :
a. Get plenty of rest and eat healthy meals prior to taking a long flight
b. On the plane, set your watch to your destination time immediately. Then
allow that time to guide your behavior. During the trip , eat and sleep
according to the new time zone
c. Once you arrive, begin to follow a normal routine for that time zone. Try
not to take naps. Set an alarm clock to wake you in the morning. Spend
time outside during the day, and sleep at night.
d. Avoid sleeping pills, alcohol, or other drugs that you do not normally use.

2. Exercise VII
1. The writer is discourage about the future, because based on the text on the second
paragraph the writer tell us if the great grand children of today’s young people
would have to share the planet with only a ragged cohort of adaptable species
dominated by rats, cockroaches, weeds, microbes, etc. I find it on paragraph two,
on the middle of that paragraph.
2. According to the author the negative impact form over population is the world
took 15 years to responds to sings of ozone depletion in the upper atmosphere, but
because ozone destroying chemicals take 15 years to migrate to that statum, the
real delay amounts to 30 years.
Based on paragraph 5
3. The world could avoid this question by reducing the burden place on the
biosphere by rising human numbers and the lifestyle.

on the first sentences always giving us the main idea that the author explanation.
3. No she is not, because she is the only women that fight for Human Right
especially for women.
