Notes: My name is Simon Markland. I am a qualified teacher with a degree in music. I have 15 years of guitar playing experience and 20 years of piano playing experience. For the last 10 years I have been providing private tuition for children and adults of all ages and abilities.
Working in a school environment has given
me invaluable knowledge of planning lessons, moulding each session to every individual pupil and creating a fun and enjoyable lesson.
I teach pupils who just want to know the
basics, those who wish to progress in their playing ability and those who wish to complete grades whether in acoustic or electric guitar or piano/keyboard. I am proficient in teaching you how to read music, guitar tablature, finger picking, strumming patterns, chords and much more on guitar, scales, dynamics, arpeggios, pedal work, sight reading, music theory and much more on piano.
