Remote Server Administration Tools
Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT) are a group of management tools that enables IT
administrators to remotely manage roles and features in Windows Server from a computer that is
running Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and Windows 8.
When you install RSAT on Windows 8, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10, all the tools are enabled
by default.
You can later choose to disable the tools by using Turn Windows features on or off in Control
Panel. RSAT for Windows 10 consists of the full complement of available management tools
including the following:

Remote Desktop Services Tools Remote Desktop Services Tools include the
Remote Desktop snap-ins, RD Gateway Manager,
tsgateway.msc, RD Licensing Manager, licmgr.exe,
RD Licensing Diagnoser, and lsdiag.msc. Use
Server Manager to administer all other RDS role
services except RD Gateway and RD Licensing.
