Scope of the FDP ‘+The online FDP is aimed at providing the participants an exposure to Recent Trends and opportunities for Re- search in Electronics and Computer Science Engineering. The main topics to be covered include: * Introduction to Research in Engineering, How and Why: Methodology ‘Single trial estimation of visual evoked potentials in time frequency domai ‘+ Design aspects of wavelet filters, «Video Processing with case study on Anomaly detection + Research avenues in Advanced Control Systems Recent opportunities for research in the domain of Artificial Intelligence ‘+ Underwater Signal Processing: Challenges ahead, «EEG Signal Processing: Scope and frontiers with Practical demonstration * Research Article writing with LATEX and effective use of plagiarism check and grammar tools. Rationale Lay The main idea behind research is to carry out some work in the existing technology in order to achieve some of the desired goals that can be used as a conformation of facts or just to create new theories to prove the phenomena and their impact on the environment. A research aim expresses the intention or an aspiration of the research study; it summarises in a single sentence what you hope to achieve at the end of a research project. The aim should be specific and phrased in such a way that it is possible to identify when it has been achieved. The purpose of research is to enhance society by advancing knowledge through the development of scientific theories, concepts and ideas. Programme Outcomes The participants of the Programme will be able to: 1. Understand the purpose of research in Engineering. 2. Identify of Broad area and problem for undertaking research 3. Understand research Methodology. 4, Understand different steps involved in the process of research 5. Draftresearch proposal. 6. Use online tools for effective research manuscript / article writing.
