In the above case of Kmart, the company failed because it did not analyze the environment and
did not do the environmental scanning which means scanning both external and internal
environment. It failed to satisfy the customers. It is very important for the organization to satisfy
its customers and make them loyal. These two above points were ignored by the company.
Environment is dynamic in nature as it changes constantly. It is the job of organization to always
analyze and scan the environment regularly and to know the strengths, opportunities and
weaknesses for the organization. After taking the above points into consideration, the company
can come back successfully and make its customers loyal.
