Welcome to subconscious whispers. In this program, you're going to learn a lot about
your subconscious mind. In this module, Module 1, you're going to learn about what
your subconscious mind store. In Module 2, we're going to delved into the subconscious
uses of that information.
In Module 3, I'm going to share with you exactly how your mind works. In Module 4, I'm
going to help you understand the impact that your subconscious mind has on your
everyday life. In Module 5, we'll talk about reaching the deeps of conscious mind
through hypnosis. In Module 6, we will enter the subconscious mind through
meditation.
In Module 7, I'm going to help you create positive changes in your subconscious mind.
Then finally, in Module 8, I'm going to share with you techniques for turning your
subconscious thoughts into reality.
So, let's jump right in with Module 1, learning about what our subconscious minds store.
You know, are subconscious mind sorts through files, thoughts, knowledge, feelings and
other information every second. All of these files are processed quickly and efficiently.
Some say that the subconscious mind never forgets anything. Even without our
conscious knowledge, the brain is soaking up everything. The subconscious even stores
things that it cannot make sense of.
The process of storing all this information can be voluntary or involuntary. For example,
when you study for an exam, that's voluntary. When you make a strong attempt to
remember someone's phone number or something about them or their name, that's
voluntary.
You know those songs that stick in your head that you really wish weren't there, songs
you don't really like but they're in your head and you think about them, that is
involuntary. There are things that your subconscious mind stores without your
conscious consent. This can be a negative memory, false information, a flawed
perspective, all kinds of information.
The subconscious mind tends to remember negative things and positive things.
Unfortunately, this can lead to being held back from your true potential if you're
dwelling on negative things. If you find this is the case for you, that you've got an over-
abundance of negative ideas in your mind, I want you to relax. There is something that
can be done and I'm going to discuss this a little later on.
I want you to realize that your subconscious mind stores information based on your
state of consciousness, based on the state of your conscious mind, if you want your
subconscious mind to work for you, keep your conscious mind positive.
Likewise, if you want your subconscious mind to work against you, all you have to do is
think negatively. Some people are really good at that unfortunately. Your subconscious
is the aftermath of your conscious attitude and actions if you want to look at it that way.
On a positive note, it's the end result, the end wonderful result, of you focusing on
positive concepts.
Alternatively, you can also work directly with your subconscious mind to help your
conscious mind become a better influence. This is accomplished through various
methods, which we're going to discuss a little later on.
Beliefs have a dramatic effect on the subconscious mind. You probably already know
that but let's talk more in detail about it. Depending on what you believe, your
subconscious mind will create its own belief system. If you chose to consciously believe
in yourself, well your subconscious mind will support that.
If you chose to doubt and let fear rule your conscious mind, well, it affects the
subconscious in highly detrimental ways. The key to supporting healthy subconscious
sorting, filing and deleting is to keep your conscious mind from working against your
intentions. Fortunately, there are many different ways to get your subconscious mind to
align with what you desire it to become.
The subconscious is also where the habits are created and stored, all those habits that
you have. I have seen countless people come into my office with a subconscious mind
full of negative things. They don't even want these negative things in there. Habits,
thoughts, perceptions, things that are holding them back, things that people have said
about them that they took to heart. I'm talking about negative thing.
They come into my office with a subconscious mind full of these concepts. It is sort of
like that song that’s in your head that you don't want to have in your head. You've heard
it so many times and you think, "What an awful song." I hope I never hear that again.
Of course, if it's a popular song you're going to hear it here, there and everywhere for a
while and then it gets stuck in your head, of course, and you play it back in your head
and you wish it wasn't there.
Well, that's an almost humorous example of something that's very detrimental, which is
also going on with your subconscious mind, which as I said, is the subconscious mind
storing negative concepts that you don't want to have in there.
My job as a hypnotherapist primarily is to get rid of all that stuff. Now I don't actually
erase anything from someone's mind. Maybe you have seen the movie, The Eternal
Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Great movie, very entertaining. In that movie they had a machine which would allow
them to go into someone's brain and actually destroy memories, memories of things
they didn't want to remember any more, past relationships, things that didn't go so well
and so forth. It's not quite that easy.
President Obama initiated the brain research on a significant level so we're now going to
start mapping the brain. When I say we I mean we as a group of people on the planet
are going to start doing that. I'm not directly involved in that but scientists are going to
involve themselves in mapping the brain.
That's something started by President Obama. He signed it and it's being worked on and
thanks to that foundational concept that he had for initiating that, we're going to see
tremendous movement forward in that. But, the brain is extremely complex and the
amount of time that it's going to take from back when President Obama signed that into
law until we actually see a full map of the brain will be some time.
However, we have something better right now. We have the ability to go into our
subconscious mind and change memories, alter them. Whereas we're not going in in a
surgical method and deleting memories because they have been pinpointed but what
we are able to do is alter certain memories so they don't affect us negatively. So, that's
what techniques such as hypnosis can bring to the table in terms of helping us rid
ourselves of these negative concepts.
You know, sometimes memories have a charge with them, a positive or negative charge.
For example, if someone says something wonderful to you, that carries a positive
change in my definition. If someone says something negative to you, that carries a
negative charge. Things with the negative charge tend to really stand out don't they? At
the end of the day what do you think about?
Well you tend to think, unfortunately, about negative things. You can change that by the
way and I encourage you to do that by thinking of positive things at the end of the day,
about all the wonderful things that happened to you. How about focusing on that?
People by and large tend to think about the negative things. They carry a stronger
charge unfortunately. So, by changing that charge, by changing it into something
positive or neutral, it takes away the power of that memory.
For example, if someone said something negative to you back when you were five years
old that's still stuck with you, they said something about the way you look or the way
you act or something about you is not acceptable and you keep dwelling on it, well, that,
in my definition, has a negative charge.
Through hypnosis we can change that to a neutral charge by having you go back to the
memory and make it sort of different, changing it. Memories are never stored as pure
memories anyway. They always have this emotional component to them. We never
really remember things exactly the way they happened.
We remember them from our point of view. Over time, those memories tend to change
because we think differently about what happened so we will actually alter the memory.
So, this is a normal process that your brain goes through. It actually alters the files. We
just accelerate this a bit with hypnosis by altering it until it is something either neutral or
positive. That is a wonderful way to get you past negative things that happened.
Unfortunately, what tends to happen with people is that their brains, our brains, we as
people, I include myself of course, we adapt certain ways of thinking and doing things by
forming habits based on those concepts, based on that negative programming. We also
do that based on positive programming and we do that based on neutral programming.
A lot of things that we think and feel about ourselves and a lot of habits that we form
are based on negative programming. As you can see, removing that negative charge
would be very beneficial. We are going to talk about that later in the program.
This helps us, of course, become a more efficient person by giving us an autopilot way of
dealing with things, an autopilot that actually works for us. Yea, we can go on autopilot
and it can work against us. We can go on autopilot that says, "Okay, all these negative
things happened. I guess it's going to be negative from here on out."
We're on autopilot with that. But, we can change that. The auto-pilot is something
positive where it's not being affected negatively by what happened in the past. It is
either a neutral charge or a positive charge therefore our future is much more positive
because we're letting go of our negative thoughts and the way they would potentially
affect us.
We have to realize that our conscious mind could be thinking about something else but
our subconscious is busy working and being sure to keep us on course. So, even if we
consciously think, well, I'm just going to avoid that negative thought. I'm going to think
something positive our subconscious mind is still programmed with what's going on. So,
it has to be dealt with.
It is sort of like cleaning weeds out of a garden. You have to pull them out by the root if
you want to get rid of them otherwise they'll just grow back. Well the root is the
subconscious mind. The part that you see, the green part that springs up past the
surface of the earth, is the conscious mind. The weed that you see is the conscious mind
and the weed underneath the ground is the subconscious mind. The root is the
subconscious mind.
When you're removing a negative thought, in this case in reality what we would do is we
just change the charge of it. We don't remove it as in the movie. We just change the
charge of it so it's no longer affecting us but we have to deal with the root.
The root is the most important part. That is the subconscious mind. That's the memory
itself. That's what actually happened or at least our interpretation of it. That's the root.
That's what in the subconscious mind.
On the conscious side, we have the weed above ground, which is the habit that we
form, to the way of looking at the world that we formed or the way of looking at
ourselves that we formed. We can change that by positive thinking. That's wonderful.
But what really needs to be changed is the memory itself. It needs to be altered in order
for us to move forward.
In this program, I'm going to focus on helping you change that autopilot. You're going to
learn how to eliminate negative habits and train your subconscious mind to go on
positive autopilot with a full arsenal of good habits, good, productive habits, habits that
are going to actually get you where you want to be.
Realize the only challenge is that some habits we give our subconscious mind are really
not that beneficial for us and so that's what we're going to work on in this program,
those habits that sprung from the initial negative idea. We're going to work on removing
the habit by working on the subconscious mind. So let's go ahead and get started. I'm
excited about that. I want you to learn this technology.
In Module 2, the next module, we're going to talk about delving into the subconscious
mind uses of information. You're going to get some more powerful information. You're
going to learn more about how this work and you're going to get some practical tips.
Welcome back. Welcome to Module 2. Module 2 is called Delving into How the
Subconscious uses Information. I'm going to teach you about that now in this module.
Once the subconscious receives information it interprets all aspects of it and it utilizes
your database of knowledge to understand what's going on. So, sights, sounds, smells,
tastes, feelings, emotions, thoughts and hunches are all analyzed. All of this is tagged in
a way that even scientists don't quite understand yet. Realize that the moment a
specific subconscious trigger is set off the mind can access this information.
The information can come in from a form of suddenly knowing an answer or déjà-vu
feeling. This is actually information from your subconscious mind and it can feel like a
gut feeling that tells you how to react in the situation. Another way that it works is you
may not even notice anything going on. Your mind might just leap into autopilot mode
based on the information that it has.
In other words, the subconscious mind essentially says, "I've got this. I'll take it from
here," and the conscious mind is sort of put aside while the subconscious mind starts to
run the show. You are starting to see how powerful the subconscious mind is.
It can actually influence the conscious mind or it can take over what's going on. That's
why it's so important to get those weeds taken care of by the roots. This is why it's so
important to listen to your intuition, the inner feelings that you have.
I remember one time when I was looking for real estate, I was looking high and low,
here and there, in the city, and it just didn't seem to be coming together. I didn't know
what to make of everything. The market was kind of going up and down, interest rates
were doing interesting things, and there were so many different parts of town I could
live in with so many different options.
I didn't know what to think of anything, too much information. So, I decided to follow
my intuition. Intuition as defined in this program is your subconscious mind speaking to
you. Your subconscious mind has the information. Let's look at what was really going on
in that situation.
I was driving around with a realtor, for a few months by the way, and looking at
different properties, different price ranges, and different options. Some places were
near an airport, which is kind of nice. Some places were far from the airport, which is
also kind of nice because you don't get the airport sounds.
I was looking at high-rises. I was looking at large houses. I was looking at small houses. I
was looking at gated communities. I was looking at guard-gated communities because
you can have a gate for a community and not have a guard there. So, anyone who has
the code can get in. There is a difference.
There were a lot of different options in other words, all kinds of options. Probably if you
put all of them together with all the different combinations, there were probably at
least 100 different options for me when you factor in the part of town, the size of the
house, the type of the house, the age of the house, the distance from the airport, etc.
You could probably get 100 distinct different possibilities of categories of houses. So, I
was in a bit of a situation wondering what to do. It was overload. My brain was full of
information. I was very well educated about the area but I wasn't coming to a clear
decision. Nothing stood out as being better than anything else.
But guess what also was going on during this entire process? My subconscious mind was
putting the pieces together. It was actually lining up everything, looking at everything,
analyzing everything, doing a lot of the work for me that my conscious mind wasn't able
to do because it was overloaded. When I consciously made attempts to think about it
logically, it just wasn't working because there were too many good options.
It probably would have come down to just throwing a dart at a board, which by the way
is not necessarily a negative idea either because your subconscious mind can guide that
dart to the board as long as you're looking at the board or as long as you look at it
before you close your eyes and then throw that dart there's some validity to that.
Your subconscious mind can guide your hand in throwing that dart. Although that seems
like an odd way to do things or it seems like it wouldn't work or it seems a bit random,
it's actually got a lot of potential validity to it because your subconscious mind can step
in. But, I didn't close my eyes and throw a dart at a board.
What I did instead was just started to listen to my intuition, what was coming up from
me? What was I thinking of? A lot of times my intuition, my subconscious mind, as
defined in this program, will speak to me in song lyrics. Little songs will come to mind
and that wasn't happening in this case.
Sometimes a song lyric can be very poignant. It can say something. You're listening to it,
you're thinking about the song over and over in your head, you're playing it over, and
you think, "Why is that song lyric playing in my head? Why is it going over and over?"
You think, "Oh my goodness, when I listen to the words, the lyric, the sentence, is that a
message for me? My subconscious mind is attempting to say something to me through
having me remember the song lyric." Well, that happens to me sometimes, but that
wasn't happening in this case so I didn't have that to go on. What I had to go on was my
intuition, what was my gut feeling, if you will.
The reason that I'm saying that the intuition is defined in this program as being the
subconscious mind giving you information is because I also believe that there is such a
thing as spiritual intuition, metaphysical intuition.
I discuss that in other programs. In this program, we're talking about your subconscious
mind, which is sort of like a large computer that computes everything and wants to give
you information if you'll just work with it. I was starting to realize that the only way out
of the situation I was in, which was finding a home, was to tune in to my subconscious
mind by listening to my intuition. What was my gut feeling about what was going on?
Once I started tuning in to that, I started thinking of a particular part of town for no
apparent reason by the way. A lot of times that's the way it works. Your subconscious
mind has put the pieces together in a way that you probably don't consciously realize.
There are certain advantages to what your subconscious mind has come up with.
For me, the advantages were not clear. I did not know why I was thinking of that part of
town. I soon realized though, once I started paying attention to it, because that part of
town kept calling me, if you will.
I took a ride at night because I stayed there for a few months as I was looking for real
estate and I followed my intuition one night and started riding around that place. No
realtor with me, no map or anything, just riding around that part of town and guess
what I found? I found the perfect spot and I felt right when I got there.
It was at night. I think it was 11:00 at night, hardly any traffic on the road. It was great. I
had spent months with a realtor with the realtor telling me "this is great for this, that's
great for that, oh you can get a good investment here, this is good because no airplane
noise, this is good because it's close to the airport, all kinds of information.
I was on information overload. But once I cleared all that out and I took a drive by
myself to this part of town that was calling me, if you will, which was just my
subconscious mind advising me to head over in that direction. I knew the way by the
way because I had been there many times with the realtor, that part of town and many
other parts of town.
We covered the entire town. But, I knew the way; my subconscious mind did, so I was
on autopilot, if you will. Still obeying all the traffic laws of course but following my
intuition. "Turn here. Turn there. Turn there. Okay." I was using the force if you will.
Although it sounds odd, it actually works because your subconscious mind has all the
information. The computer has the information and it can guide you if you let it. Once I
found that part of town, I started looking more at it the next day on a map and so forth
and I realized it was ideal because it was far enough from the airport that when I record
programs, such as this one, there's no airplane sound, which is a big deal when you're
recording things.
You don't want an airplane sound especially when you have a recording studio built into
your house. You don't want to have all these high-power noises outside that you have to
fight against and build extra insulation for. It was also close to the freeway yet far
enough from the freeway that it was not getting freeway sounds.
It was in a part of town which was newly developing so it wasn't over-priced yet the
houses were relatively new compared to the rest of town and it offered the security that
I wanted for when I'm away because I travel a lot so I want my home to be secure when
I'm away.
It offered everything. It had the right price, right location, right sound. Everything was
just right because I followed by intuition. This was after months of listening to a realtor
say, "You should do this. You should do that. You shouldn't do this. You might do that,
etc."
Actually all that information was helpful because as the realtor was sharing all this
information with me my subconscious mind was categorizing it and processing it,
putting it to a test. Will this be good or will it be not so good? Will it be beneficial or will
be detrimental to my personal goals? So, I want to encourage you to follow your
intuition.
Let's switch gears a little bit and I want to talk to you about how you're thoughts and
feelings can be fought by the subconscious mind for various reasons. First of all, it's our
job to prove to the subconscious that certain things are factual. Previous information
stored in your deep mind, your subconscious mind, may contradict new information.
If you want to get new information in there, you've got to convince your subconscious
mind that the new information is correct and actually replaces the old information. This
is why we can easily dismiss certain statements as false or jump to conclusions because
our subconscious mind has this way of dealing with things based on the information that
it has.
Now realize that your subconscious mind can have information that's not actually
factual based on things that got in there. For example, it is possible that your
subconscious mind thinks that the world is flat because people's subconscious minds
used to think that. It's not true. The world is not flat. The planet Earth is round. We
know that now. It's a sphere.
That's an example of how information can get in people's subconscious minds. A lot of
times, groups are responsible for that because if everybody is thinking the same thing,
well, people just accept it until somebody says, "Hey, I don't think so. I'm going to sail
out that way and I'll bet I'm not going to fall off the Earth. I'll bet I'll do something else. I
bet it goes on or maybe it even goes around. We'll find out." So, until somebody says
that the group accepts it as reality.
It is really nice when your subconscious mind and you conscious mind can work
together. That balance between intuition and logical thought is very important for
success. Some people are more in tune with their subconscious minds than others and
this is why some people seemed gifted when it comes to getting what they want. It also
explained how some people have learned to manage their emotions with ease.
Someone who is constantly making mistakes, if you will, I don't think anything really is a
mistake, but you know what I mean, someone who's going up against a brick wall
repeatedly. It seems like a little more often than they should. If they are feeling stressed
about it, this is probably an example of a person who is not in tune with their
subconscious mind very much.
If you find yourself in that situation, then I encourage you to listen to the rest of this
program. People who truly listen to the whispers from their subconscious mind learn to
communicate with it and they find ways to improve how their subconscious mind works
and to constantly focus on inward progress. You may have heard that it's what's on the
inside that counts.
That is quite literal when it comes to the subconscious mind. When you finally learn to
master your subconscious as well as your conscious minds, then this is the point at
which you'll truly unlock your true potential and make your dreams come true.
The subconscious has the really fascinating task of sparking creativity, inspiration,
imagination, etc., within us. It takes all of the ideas that we think about. Even if we just
think about them for a second and it combines them into an endless pool of potential
that we can tap into.
Our subconscious mind can also go off like a light bulb whispering to our conscious mind
during times that we need inspiration, such as with the story I shared with you when I
was looking for real estate. Some people wonder how I've created 9,000 hypnosis
recordings and 22 certification programs, programs that certify you in things like
hypnosis, neurolinguistic programming, life coaching, etc.
People wonder how I've done all that, how I continue to create ideas and products and
generate these concepts and these programs to help people. Well I tune in to my
subconscious mind. My subconscious mind knows what people need. I look around and I
see what people need.
I don't always consciously acknowledge it but my subconscious mind knows and all I
have to do is tune in to my intuition and that's what gives me a huge advantage in
creating programs that help people because I'm tuned into my subconscious mind.
Now in Module 3 we're going to talk about exploring how our mind works so tune in for
that. Join me in Module 3.
Module 3
Welcome back. Welcome to Module 3. In this module, we're going to talk about
exploring how our minds work.
You know, our minds are what create our perspective on reality and this reality is based
on relatively, if you will. The trick to overcoming our relativity issues is to make better
comparisons.
For example, rather than feeling upset about living in a cramped apartment because it's
not a mansion, you could chose to feel happy for having a place a stay rather than being
homeless. I remember traveling and going to Borneo and Lulul, which are very remote
parts of the world at least for someone who lives in the United States. At these places, I
had to stay in living conditions which were not ideal. It wasn't exactly a 5-star resort.
It was quite a bit different and pretty much out in the middle of the woods. It was a
structure; sort of an elevated, wooden structure with some bedrooms and a place to eat
and so forth but it wasn't my idea of where people should normally stay.
But, I had to realize, wait a minute now. First when I walked in I thought. "Oh my
goodness, I've got to stay here." Then I thought to myself, wow, wait a minute. First of
all, I was with some friends, some really good friends having a really good time.
Second of all, I was traveling to parts of the world that most Americans will probably
never see throughout their entire lives. Third, I had a roof my head. I actually had
running water. Everything was really okay. I had to reframe the way I was thinking about
it rather than thinking, "Oh my goodness, I'm in these conditions."
By the way, there are insects out in those woods that are very dangerous. I was thinking
about that as well but I had to let go of all that. I had to let go of all of my conceptions
about the way things are on the negative side and look at the positive side.
"Wow, I've got this unique adventure I'm about to go on. I'm with some really fun,
wonderful, adventurous friends. We're going to go exploring some caves." We explored
a cave by the way that you could fit a large airplane in, one of the largest caves in the
world. So, a very fascinating adventure.
You may not find yourself in a situation where you're able to say, "Wait a minute, I'm on
a fascinating adventure." You may think to yourself, "Well, even if I look on the extreme
good side of things, it's manageable at best but not a fascinating adventure."
Well let's look at it at a different perspective, if you will. Let's zoom out a little bit.
Where are you in your life? Could this be part of your story eventually, your back-story,
your hero's journey?
For example, my good friend Joe Vitalli writes books. He's in movies. He has a blog, he
has a tremendous internet presence, and he gives talks. He's always able to reference
the time when he was homeless. He was living in a vehicle.
That's not so great and he was probably at the time thinking, "Where's the upside of
this? Okay, I've got shelter, yes, but I'm homeless." If you zoom out, then you realize
that in a journey, which is an entire lifetime, that's actually a fascinating part of it.
By having been homeless Joe Vitale is able to share with thousands of people the idea
that no matter how down and out you think you are, life continues. You move forward.
Sometimes when you hit the lowest point in your life, you're able to make some
distinctions, some decisions that really positively affect the rest of your life.
Even if you look around and you think, "Well, you know, there's really no upside to this.
There's no giant cave system and it's not really an exotic part of the world and I don't
really see anything great going on."
Zoom out a little more and look at it in terms of your entire life. Can this be part of your
hero's journey, what you're going through right now? Can you start perhaps journaling
about it right now so that you can one day share with the world what it was like to be in
that situation and how you move out of it?
My understanding is that you were one of those people who likes to move forward and
to enhance your life so you are constantly looking for ways to improve your life. That's
why you purchased this program. That's why you're listening to me right now because
you are interested in improving your life. So what can you gain from the situation that
you're in right now or situations that you may find yourself in from time to time? What's
the upside?
You can capture the upside, write it down, at least remember it, or at least realize how it
fits with the other pieces in telling the story of your life and chronically your adventure
on a grand scale. My understanding is that one day, if not already, you're going to be
someone who's well known.
You're going to be someone who is helping other people on a large scale. You're going
to be someone who is contributing at a very high level and so whatever you go through
from time to time or whatever you may be going through right now is just part of your
hero's journey.
I want you to start looking at things from a different point of view. From that, you're
going to get tremendous momentum because then it becomes exciting. Then it becomes
part of your hero's journey and then you really start to get actually excited about the
situation that you're in, which yesterday may not have looked so great and now maybe
it looks a lot better, it looks exciting. So realize that we view the world and our
experiences differently, different from one another according to how we think. Also,
differently from perhaps the way we used to view ourselves.
Perhaps after listening to this program you are going to view your exact same
experiences, your exact same world differently. This is all part of getting into how your
mind works and working with it, working with the rules that it has, the way it works to
help it work better for you.
This is why positive thinkers have a better perception of the world. They perceive things
in a better way. Better meaning more efficient and more helpful for them. Two people
could be going through the exact same thing. One person can be looking at it as part of
their hero's journey story. The other one can be looking at it as this is it, down and out,
that's the way it is. Looks like it's going to be this way from here on out.
Two people going through the exact same situation, one person has their eye on the
prize, their eye on the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. One person is looking down
into the gutter and not looking up. You've got to keep looking up. You've got to keep
moving forward. This is why negative thinkers can view the same world with dispar, the
same exact world.
Depending on you perspective, the same world can be difficult and full of doubts or easy
and full of hope. The way we think can even change the way we feel physically. If you're
thinking negatively, you can tend to feel tired and worn out. If you're thinking positively,
you're going to feel more energy. Also, tension can get a hold of us.
Tension often happens with negative thinkers. Why is that? Dwelling on negative things.
There are no negative things. I want you to realize that. There are just things. There are
no negative events. They're just events.
We tend to paint them and color them and tint them through our thinking. Events are
just events. What you make of them is your perception of the events. Change your
perception and you change your world. You don't have to go out and change everything
that's going on.
All you have to do is change what's in your head, the way you're looking at things. How
you think affects your health, affects your life, affects your future, affects your friends
and affects your possibilities. Why not clean that up? Why not change that.
If you want to see this in action, in an immediate sense, realize that stress leads to high
blood pressure. You get stressed and your blood pressure goes up. It's an immediate
response. That's not even up for debate.
That's not questioned in any circle, metaphysical, medical in general. It's not
questioned. You get stressed your blood pressure is going to go up. What happens when
your blood pressure goes up? Well nothing great happens from that and over time that
can be very detrimental.
It's the same effect on your mind. You start dwelling on negative things and your stress
level goes up. You start dwelling on negative things and you find it difficult to find a way
out of those negative things.
But, you reframe them into positive things, you start looking at them as positive, as part
of your hero's journey, as part of what you're going through, as part of how you can
inspire others then things look different to you. When they look different, you have
options. When you have options, you can make a change in your life.
Realize that you can change your mind. You can change your perception of reality. The
key component here is your reaction to your environment and to your experiences, the
way you process what's going on. This is where the subconscious mind comes in to play.
You can train your subconscious mind to stay positive in order to find success. You
subconscious mind is always whispering to you and affecting your existence one way or
another.
Fortunately, there is a way to whisper back so that you have more power. You whisper
back by adopting a new attitude towards yourself and life by looking at the positive
parts of what's going on. You've probably heard the expression, "The glass is half full."
Two people can look at a glass and one can say, "The glass is half full."
The other one can say, "The glass is half empty." Same glass. Same level of liquid in it
but one person looks at it one way on the positive side. One person looks at it another
way on the negative side. That's really the gist of what I'm talking about. It's not about
the glass and it's not about how much liquid is in the glass. It's about your perception of
it. Your perception of it happens inside your head completely separate from the glass.
This approach is the approach you much take to achieve power over your subconscious
mind. You must accept responsibility for how you perceive your environment. Just
having the willingness to approach life with a positive attitude, unfortunately, is not
enough to get the ball rolling toward reprogramming your subconscious mind to bring
you success and happiness and contentment. You have to start whispering back to your
subconscious mind.
When your subconscious mind says it negative, you whisper back it's positive. At first,
you might to shout it back, "It's positive." Eventually you'll get it to where you just have
to whisper back and eventually your subconscious mind beyond that is going to whisper
to you that it's positive because you've trained it to look at things positively. Remember,
there is no such thing as positive or negative events. They are just events. There is no
such thing as a positive or negative object. They are just objects.
Positive and negative are opinions. They are opinions that originate in your mind.
Sometimes people share those opinions. Sometimes people look at the same event and
they have the same opinion about it. But, those are just opinions. They are not related
to the event because they are not going to alter the event in any way.
The event is the event. That's all it ever will be, all it ever was. It's the event. Something
happened to you, that's an event. That's something that happened. You bought a car.
That's a thing.
Nothing about that car is going to be any different because of your opinion about it. It's
just a car. But, your life will be different based on your opinion of it. If that car is a pain
for you to have to pay for every month, that's going to affect your life but it's just a car
still.
If that car is a status symbol for you to feel good about yourself it's going to positively
affect your life. But guess what? It's still just a car. The car is just being a car. It's just
sitting there and it's just being driven around sometimes. It's just being a car. It's not
doing anything else.
Your opinion about the car is what affects your life and you have direct control of that.
You don't have to change the car. You don't have to change events. You just have to
change the way you think about things.
There was a certain point in my life when I realized, it was a pivotal point in my life
when I realized that a positive attitude to my subconscious mind is like oxygen to my
lungs. It was necessary if I wanted to continue to thrive. It was necessary if I wanted to
continue to move forward in a productive way, just like oxygen is important to lungs if a
person wants to continue moving forward.
I realized that a positive attitude was important to my subconscious mind if I wanted to
continue moving forward. I could still exist with a positive or negative attitude but I
wasn't going to move forward.
I realized that it was very important for me to always focus on the positive side of
things. At first, yes, this is a bit challenging because things happen and you say,
"Where's the upside? Where's the positive part of this? You've got to be kidding me.
How can this be positive?"
But eventually you realize when you zoom out that it can perhaps, as I said, be part of
your hero's journey or it can be a learning experience or it can be something that you
can write about that's going to help other people. Maybe something happened that you
consider to be awful but you look at it and you say, "Okay, how can I help other people
with this? How can I help myself with this? How can I benefit from this?"
There's always a way to benefit from what you might consider a negative situation. So
really, there are no negative situations. There are only situations. Whether it is positive
or negative, whether it's going to have a positive or negative charge in your life and the
lives of others, who you impact is up to you.
You have the control. Once you realize that it gives you tremendous power in your life.
Once I realized that it gave me tremendous power and I want you to have that same
power.
In the next module, I'm going to share with you the impact of these thoughts in
everyday situations. That's going to be in Module 4. You're going to finally understand
the impact of your subconscious mind on your day-to-day life.
Module 4
Welcome back. Welcome to the module that is going to share with you ideas about
understanding the impact that your subconscious mind has on your everyday life.
Subconscious signals can make or break relationship and your social life. There are many
false signals that the mind might use to falsely protect you. Defense mechanisms and
walls are a major issue in relationships and in order to truly have a loving and trusting
relationship these must come down.
The subconscious can also trigger a response in some to avoid social situations. People
need social interaction for good mental health and just to enjoy their lives. This is why it
is so important to recognize and eliminate these signals and triggers that are actually
working against you, causing you to react in a way that's really not taking you where you
want to be. It could be a fear or commitment or deeply rooted insecurities.
If you're thinking that this sounds like you, realize that you're not alone. Everyone has
these. This is just part of being human. What's part of being more evolved is the idea of
dealing with them, finding a way to push past them. Whatever it may be there is always
a way to overcome what's going on and to pursue and build strong, lasting relationships.
The walls can come down to create a balance in your social life as well.
Realize that you career and business goals can be directly affected in addition to these.
You subconscious mind whispers feelings of doubt and fear and if you don't have
confidence in yourself, it can be difficult to set goals and even more difficult to achieve
goals. It can be difficult to get anywhere.
Even if you do set goals, you may not be motivated or determined. You know how it
goes. People set goals like, "I'm going to stop smoking" or "I'm going to get out more.
I'm going to get on the dating scene more" or "I'm going to start a business or build a
website." Then what happens? Well, they don't have the motivation. Why is that? Why
is there a disconnect?
Why is there no follow through going on? It's because the subconscious mind really is
not onboard. They haven't taken the time to understand their subconscious mind and
how it affects their everyday life. I want you to understand it so you can move forward.
Even if you do set goals, you need to have the motivation and determination to
continue forward, to actually make them happen.
The subconscious mind can limit you for the "wrong reasons." Maybe something
happened in the past where you had a little bit of success and it didn't go so well. Your
subconscious mind said, "Hey, you know, this success stuff, that's really negative
because all this negative attention starts to happen."
Well, that's not necessarily the way it's going to go. If you continue you become very
successful but your subconscious mind got a little taste of it and thought, "Well it's
negative, maybe we shouldn't do that" and so you start to undermine your attempts to
become more successful.
That type of thing is very common. I see that with clients all the time. Their conscious
mind and their subconscious mind are on two completely different pages. The
subconscious mind is attempting to protect them, attempting to keep them safe from a
perceived danger.
Perhaps they had a relationship that didn't go so well. The subconscious mind
remembers that and whispers to them, "Stay away from relationships." Their conscious
mind says, "Let's go get a relationship." What happens? There's a disconnect. The
subconscious mind is only doing its job, attempting to protect the person from potential
harm, in other words, emotional damage. Whereas the conscious mind says, "I want a
relationship."
Subconscious mind says, "No you don't," and what happens? Sabotage happens. The
relationship doesn't work out. The person loses the relationship for reasons that seem
strange, that seem unusual. How did that happen? How did that relationship slip
through my finger? The way it happened is that you, in many cases, sabotaged it
because your subconscious mind said, "No, it's not for you."
This may not have happened to you in particular but you get the idea. You get the gist. It
doesn't have to be a relationship. It can be social interactions. It can be business
success. It can be financial success. It would be weight loss. It could be stopping
smoking. Your subconscious mind has a reason as Dr. Phil could say, "a payoff" for
staying where it is.
Then your conscious mind is not going to have any power in that moment because the
subconscious mind is like the bottom of the iceberg. You've seen iceberg. You see a little
bit of it above the water but most of it is below the water. There's this huge part of the
iceberg that you don't see because it's below the water.
That's what directing the iceberg. Where that iceberg is going is determined by the bulk
of it and what it's doing underneath the water. The underneath the water part is like
your subconscious mind. That's what moving things around. That's what determining
the direction. That's what steering things.
The conscious mind is represented by the part above the water. It seems to be the only
part there is, but it's not. The vast part of it, the part that's really in charge, is the
subconscious mind. If you want to change something, you've got to get your
subconscious mind onboard.
Thankfully you can help it learn how to be a catapult for success, how to launch you
forward to success. It does not have to be like this. This doesn't have to be a situation in
which there's conflict in which your conscious mind thinks one thing and your
subconscious mind thinks another thing.
You may think by now that that's the way it goes. That's not the way it goes. With
successful people, they are onboard. Their conscious mind and their subconscious mind
are on the same page.
I had to learn this myself. I had to retrain my subconscious mind for success in my
career. Once I started appearing on television, I was on Bravo TV's Millionaire
Matchmaker. Bravo TV is owned by the NBC, a company in the United States that makes
TV shows. It's a network.
They have a cable company that they own called Bravo. Bravo has a show called
Millionaire Matchmaker and I was on that show as a millionaire. Suddenly I'm in the
limelight. Then I was on another show on Bravo called Below Deck, again, as a
millionaire. Suddenly again in the limelight.
My life changed quite a bit. I was no longer perceived as just this guy who did hypnosis
who had some sort of an internet presence. Suddenly I was this guy who does hypnosis
on TV in your living room. You could see me in your living room doing hypnosis. Then
people started recognizing me and saying, "Hey, you're the hypnosis guy."
I started to realize that I was going to be perceived in public as that guy who does
hypnosis. So, I started thinking, "Well, people are watching me." Not a paranoid thought
but I started becoming aware that people, even if they're not coming up to me and
saying they recognize me, which happens quite a bit, they're still recognizing me even if
they don't say it. So I have sort of a responsibility, if you will.
My public persona now is being examined and I'm being watched. Not in a negative way
but in just a normal way. People are watching me just like they would anyone they see
on TV and saying, "There's that guy" and they already have preconceived notions "Oh,
that's the guy that does hypnosis, okay."
Then they see me doing my thing when I'm getting coffee at Starbucks or getting a
sandwich somewhere or traveling somewhere. But they're watching me and they've
already got these preconceived thoughts.
Initially what happened for me was that this was a little daunting for me. I always
thought that that kind of recognition would be great and people observing me in a
public way would be wonderful and that it would be all roses and wonderful ideas
would emerge from it and so forth.
What I found out in reality was that I was a little nervous about it when people were
watching me and people were saying, "Hey, are the guy from that show?" Sometimes
they wouldn't remember my name but they would just know that they saw me on a
show and they would start talking about it. I realized that my life had changed.
Something was different now.
These people were realizing that they saw me on TV and they were looking at me
differently than they would look at other potential strangers to them. It was during that
time a few years ago that I had to think to myself, "Is this what I want?"
Up until now, I have been this guy who writes books about hypnosis and creates
products about hypnosis and neurolinguistic programming, pretty much markets them
on the internet, and I have You Tube videos and people see the videos but it's not like
TV. Nothing will quite give you the exposure like TV.
Someone recognizing you from a You Tube video, unless it goes viral, the odds of that
are remote compared to someone recognizing you from TV. The odds go way up
because a lot more people, in general, unless a You Tube video goes viral, but in general,
a lot more people are watching TV. Now the shows are international. Now they are
being shown over in the U.K. and people are emailing saying, "Hey I saw you on a
channel in the U.K."
It was around that time when this public me started being seen on TV that I had to think
to myself, "Wow, do I really want this? I always thought it would be neat, wonderful,
and great, but do I really want this? I feel like I'm being watched, like people are
observing me while I'm getting coffee.
People I don't know know me and it really feels strange." I had to make sure at that time
that my conscious mind and my subconscious mind were on the same page because I
realized that the key to my continued success was me not only being comfortable with
this but also embracing it as something positive.
So, I had to start working on myself. I had to start getting accustomed to that. I had to
start reprogramming myself that it's a positive thing when people come up to me. It's a
positive thing when people are watching me for a little longer than people normally
watch strangers because obviously they're recognizing me. I had to program myself to
change that into that being a positive event. Those events were positive. The way I did
that was just reframing it.
I would see that and I would think, "That's kind of strange." I don't know if I like being
watched." I would change that into, "Yes. Television exposure is getting the word about
hypnosis out there. People are noticing me and they're thinking about hypnosis now and
the ways that they can take care of their lives. The more I do this, the more I get those
looks, the more people ask me if I'm that guy on TV the better it is because that means
it's reaching more people."
Although you may not be going through the same exact situation, I imagine you're not;
you're probably going through something like that where you're having these growing
pains, if you will. Maybe your business has expanded recently. You're getting busier.
Maybe you have to hire more people and when you hire more people there are more
challenges. When you hire more people sometimes, you have to fire more people.
That's the down side of it but that's part of life. That's part of expansion. That's part of
moving forward.
You are going to find out that whatever you're dealing with, maybe you're getting out
there in the dating world, and you're having some dates that are great, some dates that
are not so great and you're thinking, "What is this?" You have to realize that your
continued momentum is where the power is.
You must find a way to push forward despite the perception of a downside. Anytime you
do anything that is out of comfort zone, anything you make any kind of change, there's
going to be a potential downside.
There is going to be some part of it that to you is distasteful. There is going to be some
part of it that to you says, "I don't know about this." You've got to push past that and
you've got to keep your eye on the prize.
You've got to keep your eye on the goal and that's how you do it by just reframing these
things. "Okay, yea, dating, dates that aren't so great happen, but it's all part of getting to
that one person whom you will be with forever. You'll live happily ever with you.
Hold that thought steady in your mind. Making some wrong choices, if you will, are not
really wrong choices. They're part of the learning curve. They're part of you having
experiences that lead to the "right choice." Business, things happen. There's up and
downs but it's all part of you being self-sufficient and owning and running your own
successful business.
This all comes down to retraining you subconscious mind for success. How happy you
feel results from the whispers from your subconscious mind. You have got to train it to
say good things to you, to whisper things to you. Have you ever felt miserable without
really knowing exactly why?
There may be reasons that you are not consciously aware of. Maybe you somehow got it
in your head as a youth or young adult which people are bad, or their evil, or that
money is bad. Getting to the root cause of your unhappiness and your unhappy feelings
can help you push through to the next level.
Realizing that you have to deal with those challenges can he you push through to the
next level. Getting rid of those thoughts about rich people being bad, no, rich people are
not bad. People are people. There are "good" and "bad" people at every level of
socioeconomic success, every level, from the very bottom to the very top. It's not about
wealth. People are people.
Wealthy people are just able to do more with their wealth. Wealthy people who don't
have good intentions are able to do more with their wealth and people who are not so
wealthy are not able to do as much, but it has nothing to do with the money. What it
has to do with is the individual and your perception of those individual affects your life.
So let go of your perceptions. Realize that, hey, it's all about you. It's not about them.
It's not about whether they're "good" or "bad." It's about you. What are you like? What
are you going to be like with a lot of money? My understanding is you're going to be a
great, wonderful, giving person.
In order to help you I'm going to share with you some ideas in the next module, in
Module 5, about reaching the deep subconscious mind through hypnosis. I'm going to
talk with you about how you can change your life using hypnosis. Now this is what I do. I
am a hypnotist. I hypnotize people. I get people in the office and I use hypnosis with
them to help them change their lives.
This next module is going to be a very powerful module because I'm going to share with
you from the richness of my experience working with people I'm going to share some
concepts with you that are really going to help you, really going to jump start things for
you, really going to help you move forward. So join me in Module 5 as I share with you
ideas about reaching you subconscious mind through hypnosis.
Module 5
Welcome back! Welcome to Module 5. In this module, we're going to talk about
reaching your deep subconscious mind through the use of hypnosis. You know, hypnosis
helps you reach into your subconscious mind to eliminate unwanted habits, beliefs and
perceptions and form new ones that will help you reach your goals.
Those habits that you have, those beliefs, those perceptions that have been holding you
back can be rewired with hypnosis. Your subconscious mind makes up about 80% of
your entire mind. Your conscious mind is actually only a small portion of what makes
you.
Remember the tip of the iceberg versus the iceberg. Your conscious mind is the tip of
the iceberg and your subconscious mind is the majority of you, the bottom part of the
iceberg, the part that's underneath the water, the part that's really running the show. I
want you to realize that the subconscious mind is not difficult to reach if you know how
to do it.
Just like anything. If you have technology, it's easy to do it. If you don't have the proper
technology, it can seem very daunting but luckily, you're in the right hands. I have the
technology and I'm going to share that with you.
Most individuals find that guided sessions are easier than self-hypnosis. In other words,
someone doing it for you or listening to a hypnosis recording. Those are available at
BetterLivingWithHypnosis.com is you want a guided session that I've already made. But,
before attempting hypnosis, before using it, you'll need to ask yourself some important
questions.
First, asked yourself what's holding you back. Why is it that you haven't moved forward?
I mean an honest question. What is holding you back? Also, realize that these answers
that you get to you questions will help you target the most crucial subconscious mind
issues. Think about any habits that you may have formed that lead to failure of
disappointment. What are you doing over and over again? In relationships, are you
sabotaging them somehow?
With financial success, are you sabotaging your financial success? Are you not saving?
Are you not being considerate in dates? I don't know you personally, so I don't know
what you're going through but are things that you are doing, habits that you have, that
are consistently causing "failure" or at least disappointment?
Examine your belief also and how they affect your life to find some that limit you. What
beliefs are you holding onto that limit you? Do you believe that people will not be
happy, that people will not find their love, and that soulmates don't exist? Are you
holding those deep-seeded beliefs? Have you given up?
I want you to challenge those beliefs. Challenge yourself to move beyond that, to realize
it's just a belief that you have in your head and it has nothing to do necessarily with the
rest of reality. What's in your head is in your head.
Realize that you have control of that. Once you take the control of things, once you
accept responsibility for your world and realize that you have created it then you have
some real power. Then you have the ability to change it.
Take a closer look at how you see the world and everything and everyone in it and
you're going to realize that your perceptions have a lot to do with where you are right
now, with how successful or unsuccessful you are, with where you are in your journey,
with how quickly or slowly things are moving forward for you.
All of these clues will point to your subconscious mind. When you realize that your
subconscious mind is running the show, just like the main part of the iceberg
underneath the water is directly the way the whole iceberg goes. The way that bottom
part goes is the way the top part goes.
The top part has no choice. It goes the way the bottom part tells it to go because the
bottom part is running the show. That's a lot like your subconscious mind. I wouldn't say
you have no choice but it's going to be very challenging unless your get you
subconscious mind onboard and going in the correct direction. Realize that that
direction is chosen ultimately by you because you can reprogram it. You can rewire it.
You're very fortunate to have stumbled upon this information. However you found your
way to this program, it's very fortunate that you did. Just like it's very fortunate that I
found this information long ago when I was studying hypnosis as a teenager. I got a
book on it.
That's what sparked my interest. I didn't realize before that that the subconscious mind
is so powerful and you may not have either before you came across this information.
Now you know so you almost have a responsibility to take charge.
Realize that guided hypnosis is done with the help of a certified hypnotist. If you want
professional assistance in changing your life, go to a certified hypnotist. These days
everything is online. If you have any questions about anyone's reputation or how good
they are or how effective they are, just go online and look.
On my website, for example, I have testimonials, people who share what they feel about
me and my work. It is very helpful for people who are looking into using hypnotist to
find out what the reputation is of the person, to look into them and see. Fortunately for
me, most people are extremely happy with what happens. But, if you're going to a
hypnotist, check them out first.
A hypnotist will have special training in hypnosis. They're going to be certified. Find out
who they are certified through. Check out that organization as well. Make sure that it is
a reputable organization. Then you're ready to move forward. If you want to work one-
on-one with a hypnotist, I run the American Alliance of Hypnotists.
It's found at AmericanAllicanceofHypnotists.org, you can go there, and you can find the
hypnotist in your area who has been trained through my organization. That's an option
that's available to you. There are numerous other hypnosis organizations and you can
check them out online. You can explore them. You can see what you think about them
and you can find a hypnotist you resonate with.
A hypnotherapist will walk you through the steps necessary to go into hypnosis, bring
you into a hypnotic state and help your subconscious mind prepare to accept change.
Going to a professional hypnotist is more often very effective compared to self-
hypnosis. You can hypnotize yourself.
You can put yourself in hypnosis but it's often more effective to go to a certified
hypnotist. Now if you want to become a hypnotist yourself you can go to
HypnosisCertified.com and become a hypnotist yourself. That way you will learn self-
hypnosis.
You'll learn how to work with other people. You'll learn how to work with other people.
You'll learn how to make your own recordings and you'll have the technology that you
need. That is if you want to pursue that professionally.
Realize that a person must be willing to make changes in order to get the best results.
When you get ready to change your life, you must be willing to do this. You must be
absolutely ready. You should also keep an open mind and have trust that it can work
because it's going to work.
Not only can it work, but it will work. You need to be onboard with the person you're
working with or if you're doing self-hypnosis, you need to be onboard with that
program. To undergo guided hypnosis you can use recordings. I recommend that.
Some people do self-hypnosis like this. They close their eyes and they start talking to
themselves. "Now I'm walking along a beach and now I'm watching the sunset," and
they just guide themselves through it with words. I don't recommend that because what
happens if you fall asleep? Since you're playing both roles of hypnotist and patient, if
you fall asleep then the hypnotist falls asleep and no one's hypnotizing anyone.
You're just going to sleep. Whereas if you listen to a hypnosis recording that you make
or that someone else has made, then if you fall asleep it's okay because your eyes close
but your ears don't. They stay open to monitor your environment. Because they do,
they can also record things from your environment.
Just like a mother if she hears an infant cry while she's sleeping, she will immediately
wake up. If you were in your home and you hear a noise that doesn't belong there, you
will wake up. You will be alerted because your subconscious mind has a surveillance
camera, if you will. That surveillance camera is your ears. It's constantly monitoring the
sounds of you environment.
Because it is monitoring the sounds, it can let you know if something does not belong
and alert you to potential danger. Because of that, it can also record information. If you
fall asleep listening to a hypnosis recording, it's fine. Your subconscious mind can still
take in that information.
By the way, the first person known to use self-hypnosis was James Braid. He was a
surgeon and I am very thankful to James Braid by the way because I was born with
clubbed feet. James Braid lived a long time ago.
In fact, James Braid had a brother and I meet the great-grandson of James Braid's
brother at a party recently. He came up to me and introduced himself. He said, "You're
not going to believe who I am." Sure enough, he was the great-grandson of James
Braid's brother.
Dr. James Braid, M.D. was a surgeon who did pioneering work on correcting clubbed
feet. I was born with clubbed feet. They had to be operated on when I was a kid, when I
was just an infant. I was fresh out of the womb into the world and I had clubbed feet.
Surgeons these days or in the 60's when I had my surgery, they were able to correct it
thanks to the pioneering work of James Braid.
We also owe a debit of gratitude to James Braid for doing pioneering work with self-
hypnosis. A medical doctor who also used hypnosis. Sort of like Milton Erickson in
modern days. He was a medical doctor who also used hypnosis. Well James Braid long
before that did pioneering work in hypnosis.
You can make a self-hypnosis recording for yourself and I encourage you to have five
parts in that recording. First of all, an induction. That's just where you talk about walking
in a place that relaxes you. Maybe along the beach. For my friends in New York they
enjoy walking in the streets of New York or Central Park. You just talk about relaxing and
walking and involve all the senses.
There is something to see, something to hear, something to smell. You can smell that
salty sea air for example on the beach. You can hear the horns in the background as you
walk down the street.
You may find it odd that some people find it relaxing to imagine walking down the
street, if you're not a city person, but some people actually do. Some people find the
woods relaxing. Whatever it is for you just talk for about 10 minutes about walking and
relaxing in that environment.
Then comes the deepening. The deepening is just downward motion, downward
counting and downward relaxation. For example, if you've been walking along the beach
for 10 minutes the deepening came be the sun setting and you count from 10 to 1 as the
sun sets.
The way you would set up a deepening is to say, "Now as I continue relaxing I'm going to
watch a beautiful sunset. I'm going to count from 10 to 1. As I do, the sun is going to
slowly set. As it sets I'm going to become more relaxed with each number I count
downward."
Then you start with the number 10 and work your way down to 1, continuing to
describe the sunsetting and you relaxing more and more. That's the deepening. That
should be about five minutes long. So, you have 10 minutes of walking in your relaxing
environment, five minutes of the deepening. By the way, if you're in the woods, then
the deepening can just be downward motion of walking down a hill.
You are going to take 10 steps down a hill and you count down from 10 to 1. As you do,
you relax more and more with each step. In the city scenario, you can walk down into a
subway system for example or down a slight incline or perhaps you see a balloon in the
distance and it is drifting downward. As it does, you're counting from 10 to 1. So, in the
deepening your have downward motion, downward counting and downward relaxation.
Then comes the most important part, the script. That's where you're talking about
change. You always talk about change in the positive. It's best to talk to about it in the
here and now. For example, if you want to be wealthy you would say, "I have X amount
of money the bank now."
What happens when you do that? Your subconscious mind becomes programmed to
make it happen in your everyday life. Whereas you may not have X amount of money in
the bank account right now and that's why you're making the recording in the first
place, your subconscious mind hears that you do and finds ways in your everyday life to
make that happen.
I should point that you never listen to hypnosis recordings in a moving vehicle, only
when you're stabilized, sitting or lying down with nothing to do or no one is going to
disturb you.
The script is the part where you make the changes. You talk about everything as if it's
already happened and in a positive way. "I am success in this," "I am successful in that."
It's best to pick a theme and stick with it, one theme for one recording.
You are going to listen to your recording every night or as many nights as you're able to
for 21 nights, three weeks, to really get this change in your mind. Just play it as you go
to sleep. Remember, if you fall asleep, it's fine. Use it to put yourself to sleep. It's a great
sleep aid, a natural sleep aid.
The next part is amnesia after the script. Now why would we want to forget all the
things we've programmed? Because of that subconscious mind having the information
and it potentially getting into the conscious mind.
We don't want the conscious mind to analyze the information. Your conscious mind is
listening the whole time because part of your mind is still there, part of your conscious
mind is still listening unless you fall completely asleep, which is fine. In that case, only
your subconscious mind is listening.
As you drift off to sleep there is a good chance your conscious mind will pick on some of
the information. We want the information to be in your subconscious mind. Your
conscious mind is on a need to know basis and it doesn't need to know everything. Of
course, you're writing the information and you're reading it on your recording so you're
going to remember a lot of it anyway.
But, over time, that memory will probably fade quite a bit. You don't want to
consciously have more recollection of it than necessary. If you have some recollection of
it, that's fine, but you want to make attempts at least with the amnesia part of the
recording to scramble that memory or make it difficult to remember so that you're not
analyzing it. "I know you said I have X amount of money in the bank but I don't really
know if I believe that."
You don't want to analyze in that way because that's detrimental to the process. By the
way, you can say, "You are now going deeper into hypnosis" or "I am going deeper into
hypnosis." "You are making these changes," or "I am making the changes." It doesn't
matter. I'm not aware of any studies that show any difference between the power of
using I versus you. So it is your choice, whichever seems more natural to you I would go
with.
Amnesia is just a simple matter of saying, "I can now choose to forget to remember
everything that I've heard during this hypnosis session or remember to forget
everything I've heard during this hypnosis session. The choice is mine."
So what have I done? I have set up a double bind. I can either choose to forget to
remember or remember to forget. In either case, I'm going to forget. The idea is to
scramble the conscious access you have to the subconscious information.
The next part of the recording, part 5 is trance termination. That just means ending the
trance. If you're making a recording to listen to at night just tell yourself you're going to
drift into a peaceful sleep and wake up in the morning refreshed.
If you're making it for daytime use, remember, you never play it in a moving vehicle
even if you're making a recording for daytime use. You only listen to it when you are
stabilized on a couch or a bed where you will not fall off of anything if you fall asleep
and where no one is going to disturb you. If you're making it for daytime use, you simply
say at the end, "
At the count of three I will come back to full awakening and consciousness," or "you will
come back to full awakening and consciousness," it's your choice and then you count up
slowly 1, 2 and 3, raising the volume a little bit between numbers.
Once you reach the number 3, you're going to be wide-awake full of natural energy and
you say this to yourself, "That once I reach number 3 I'll be wide awake full of natural
energy, feeling refreshed and re-energized."
You have two ways to end it. One is by telling yourself to drift into a natural sleep. The
other one is to wake yourself up depending on your needs and the recording. That is
how you make a self-hypnosis recording. So enjoy that technology if you want to go that
route.
Now you realize you can either go to a hypnotist, you can get a hypnosis recording, you
can become a hypnotist yourself or you can just go ahead and make a hypnosis
recording given the information that you have from this program.
Enjoy the power that you now have and get ready to join me in the next module,
Module 6, as we talk about entering our subconscious minds through meditation. We're
going to talk about something that's very similar to hypnosis yet it is different in some
respects, which is meditation. So join me in that module.
Module 6
Welcome back. Welcome to Module 6. This module is all about entering your
subconscious mind through the use of meditation. Meditation is a way to tap into your
subconscious mind anytime you want. In the conscious state your brain produces beta
waves, however, as you drift into your subconscious mind your brain waves with slow
down; alpha, theta, finally delta waves with be dominant.
During this time of being in these deeper states of alpha, theta and delta, you are able
to unleash your creativity and to mold your subconscious mind, which, as you already
know, will affect your conscious mind.
The first step to learning about controlling your subconscious mind is to learn to listen
to it. Remember that's what this program is all about, the whispers that come from it.
You can do this by getting into a relaxed state, both physically and mentally. To do that I
recommend sitting with your legs crossed or in a chair or lying down. In other words,
doing whatever is relaxing for you. Find the position that works best for you.
You don't have to sit in the classic mediative pose. By the way, if you want to, you can.
The classic mediative pose is your legs crossed, your back upright, your chin parallel with
the floor, your eyes closed, your wrist resting gently on your knees with your palms
facing upward and making the OK sign with your hands.
In other words, the tip of your left index finger touching the tip of your left thumb and
the tip of your right index finger touching the tip of your right thumb. This is the pose
you've probably seen many times in many movies. If you look for it on the internet,
meditative pose or lotus position, that's the pose that you see. This does not have to be
you. You do not have to sit in this pose.
When I meditate, I do not sit in this pose because I find it uncomfortable. What I prefer
to do is lie down on my back on a bed. When I meditate, I'm lying down on my back on a
bed. I'm not concerned with my fingers touching the tips of my thumbs.
I'm not concerned with any of that. I'm concerned with being comfortable. That's my
only priority when I meditate. I invite you to find a way to meditate that's relaxing for
you.
Some people find it challenging to meditate lying down on a bed because after all a bed
is where people sleep and some people are so programmed that when then lie down on
their bed they drift off to sleep. Whereas I am programmed when I lie down on my bed,
I'm usually going to listen to a hypnosis recording before I go to sleep.
I'm used to being in this meditative or hypnotic state on my bed when I'm lying down. If
that's too much for you, if you would fall asleep while doing it, then I suggest that you
sit in a chair, lie down on the couch, or even lie down on a floor.
The idea is that you'll lie down or sit down in a way that's comfortable for you at a time
when no one is going to disturb you and in such a way that if you were to lean one way
or the other you'd be okay. Some people get very relaxed during meditation so having
some pillows around you can be a wonderful idea.
Now you may be thinking at this time what's the difference between hypnosis and
meditation? Not much. There's not much difference. In both, your goal is to go into a
deeper state of consciousness and in both your goal is to improve your life somehow.
But, the difference comes in to play with the goal.
A lot of time in meditation the goal is just to clear your mind, to let everything play out.
You know, all those thoughts and everything, let them all play out and then to calm
down, to relax and to center yourself. When we compare that to hypnosis, a lot of times
with hypnosis, the goal is to make a change and so we have a script, which has the
change in it.
You remember from the hypnosis module that there is a goal in mind. You're going to
change something about yourself. So, we have an outcome desired whereas with
mediation the outcome can just be to relax, to center yourself, to calm down, to create
an oasis. That's the only real distinction between the two.
I meditate regularly and I found it to be very beneficial because it helps me calm down.
Sometimes I develop stress about situations that really don't warrant stress. I mean
when you think about it, what really does warrant getting stressed out about? Nothing.
You would be able to relax during almost every situation in your life. Now if an
emergency happens, that's understandable.
A lot of situations that we tend to get stressed out about really don't warrant that.
When we looked back at it years later and we think, "Wow, that was causing a lot of
stress in my life at that time." Then we think, "Why? Why was I getting stressed about
that? My goodness it was so inconsequential. It was so small."
But, at the time we're going through it, it's everything for us. At the time, we're in that
reality it's our entire world. It's all we see at that moment. It seems like we're stuck right
in the middle of it sometimes. That is where stress comes from when you start thinking
like that.
Meditation allows you to rise above that, to get an overall view of what's going on in
your life, realize that this may be part of your hero's journey as we talked about in
previous modules. This may be part of just something that's going on for you that's a
growth experience that's actually wonderful overall.
Maybe you’re getting stressed about some exam you have but maybe once you pass
those exams you're going to go on to a higher level in your income and in the respect
you have in your community and so forth. Maybe there is a really good payoff for you
and it's really worth it for you to push through that.
Meditation can be very helpful in those times to help you move through that because
what you're going through is actually very positive. You're having a stressful reaction to
it perhaps but overall it's really good for you. So centering yourself regularly can help
you tremendously in pushing through the challenging parts of an outstanding,
wonderful, beneficial experience.
Meditation has been very powerful for me just like hypnosis. I use hypnosis recordings
almost every night as I go to sleep and I meditate usually in the mornings, sometimes in
the evening before going into hypnosis I will meditate, which is just a matter of clearing
my mind, letting everything come out, analyzing what happened to a little degree.
Analyzing a little bit.
You don't want to over-analyze but there were certain things that maybe were
bothering you doing the day that you want to look at and say, "What's the other
perspective I can take about this? How's the greater good affected by what happened?
So you zoom out quite a bit instead of this microscopic view you get a macroscopic view.
You zoom out and you see what's really going on. That can be very beneficial.
You can mediate by getting into a relaxed state both physically and mentally. Sit
however you want or lie down however you want. Take in deep, relaxing breaths that go
all the way in to your belly. Close your eyes and allow your mind to wonder wherever it
wants.
You may want to keep your eyes open but I recommend closing your eyes because that
gives you the ability to sort of see what's going on inside of your mind instead of seeing
the curtains or the ceiling or the carpet or pictures, you can see what's going in your
mind.
Pay close attention to each thought that comes and to the emotions that are attached.
Just let them come up. Don't attempt to control anything. Don't attempt to suppress
anything. Don't attempt to guide anything at the beginning. Just let things come up
because sometimes the things that you've been pushing down during the day are the
things that are causing stress.
Maybe they're things you're not dealing with that you should that you've been
suppressing. They are going to come out somehow and if you don't deal with them,
they're going to come out in a negative way. So let them come out. Let it all come up for
you. Let it all come out. Let it all play out in your mind.
This process usually just takes a few minutes where everything is kind of coming up. All
the things that happened during the day, this person made me angry. Oh, I should have
done this. I wish I hadn't done that. You know that kind of stuff. Just let all that come up
for you.
Most importantly tune in to the emotions that are attached. You remember from an
earlier module that we talked about the idea that memories aren't really memories. It's
not as if it's shot with a movie camera. It's shot with a camera, which is your mind and
it's subject to change. So, however you feel about that is going to affect the memory.
Think about the emotions that are attached to what happened. What do you feel about
it?
After each time you meditate record what you experienced in a journal. That's ideal.
Just take a few moments and write down something. You'll probably get some really
good insights. I've gotten a lot of great program ideas; ideas for programs like this one
came from meditation. Subconscious whispers came from a meditation session. It just
came to me. Wow, wait a minute. Subconscious mind whispers to us. I should share that
with people.
I should let them know about that because that's a very powerful way of looking at
things, that your subconscious mind whispers to you and you want to have your
subconscious mind whisper positive things so that you can get moving forward with you
life. That came from a meditation session. I encourage you to write down, to journal.
Who knows, it could turn into a book or a movie or it could just help you in your life.
Within a few weeks, you should be able to understand those subconscious whispers.
This is when you're able to create goals and begin planning your next steps. You can also
work this into your hypnosis sessions, things that come up for you during meditation.
Visualization meditation can be very powerful.
Once you have your goals in mind you can visualize them. The first few minutes of
meditation are usually spent just letting those things play out in your mind. Things that
are on your mind or things that you suppressed during the day, let them play out.
Then things should calm down for you. Then you can start focusing on what you want to
create. It is sort of like the script part of your hypnosis session. You visualize what you
want to create.
Not everyone is visual. Sometimes you may hear the future. You may tune in to the
sounds associated with the future. Sometimes you may feel the future if you're more
kinesthetic. What will you be wearing? How will it feel? How will you feel emotionally?
How will you feel to be in the environment physically and emotionally? How will it feel?
Whether it's auditory, visual or kinesthetic you can start to meditate on the future and
imagine the future that you want to create. This helps to program your subconscious
mind to move toward that future.
When your subconscious mind hears about that future or sees that future or feels that
future it starts to move toward it and starts to think, "Well, that's reality" because your
focusing on it so much. Then it starts to move toward it. How does it move toward it? In
your everyday life it finds ways to make it more and more real until your actually there.
You start to take opportunities that present themselves.
You start to move in certain directions. You start to hear intuitive concepts coming to
you, feel intuitive concepts, or visualize intuitively. Where you should live. What you
should do. What you should become. What you should create. You start moving in those
directions.
Visualization has been a very powerful tool for me from locking my potential. Once
you're in a mediative state, think about what you want to accomplish in life. You may
also want to bring a list of things that you want to do to help you stay on track. Bring it
to the meditation session.
Maybe you want to focus on things you want to do. I want to see the Pyramids of Egypt.
I want to scuba dive in Costa Rica. Whatever it is for your personal interest you want to
focus on that. That's going to help you move forward toward actually making that
happen.
Visualize yourself or hear yourself or feel yourself accomplishing each and every goal in
as much detail as possible and use all of you senses to creat vivid visualizations. Maybe
you're primarily visual but if you're still able to hear than you do relate to the sense of
hearing so you can involve that sense also.
Why limit yourself. Even if you're primarily visual, auditory or kinesthetic you probably
relate to the other senses to some degree so why not paint a full picture. Why not
involve all the senses; sight, sound, smell, touch even taste.
Truly allow the emotions of achieving your dream to resonate within you. This will
create a subtle change in your subconscious mind. This change welcomes what is
necessary for accomplishing everything you want.
Once your subconscious mind begins welcoming and becomes a more welcoming
subconscious mind, it's ready to receive direction. During this time, it is important to
continue using the visualization meditation. Remember, visualization is not just defined
as seeing things. By using that word, I mean whatever works for you; visual, auditory or
kinesthetic.
By continuing to use this type of meditation, where you perceive the future in a way
that works for you, you're going to move forward. Otherwise, it may start to revert back
to being less open and a less welcoming state. It is important that you continue using
this meditation. Continue to program yourself for what you want to create.
That's how you're going to get what you really want. The possibility of getting what you
want will be all the motivation your subconscious needs to begin taking the next step in
the process and the next step and the step after that and to keep you moving forward.
Enjoy this process. Enjoy meditation and keep moving forward.
In the next module, Module 7, I'm going to share with you powerful ideas for creating
positive changes in your subconscious mind. You're going to learn some other
techniques that are going to also help you influence your subconscious mind and that's
what we want to do in this program, have you influence your subconscious mind in such
a way that it starts whispering to your conscious mind and influencing you in positive
ways.
It's already whispering but we want it to whisper positive things. We're going to get you
where you want to be so join me in that module as we delve into that, creating positive
changes in your subconscious mind.
Module 7
Welcome back. Welcome to Module 7. This module is called Creating Positive Changes
in our Subconscious because that's what I want you to learn how to do and really that's
what this entire program is about but this module in particular is going to focus on that.
You know, affirmations are very useful in getting the subconscious mind to align with
your goals. I use affirmations. Affirmations are very straightforward, very easy to use yet
very powerful when it comes to causing change in our everyday lives. That is really what
it's all about.
If you want a change in your life, you've got to get down to the level of your everyday
life. You've got to start affecting things on that level. So, the more you say something
the more your subconscious mind accepts it as reality. Then you'll be subconsciously
driven towards success. Even without knowing it, you'll be headed on the right paths.
Affirmations can be anything you want to bring into your reality. When using
affirmations, always use the present tense. Never use negative words and avoid
mentioning the actual challenge itself. Instead, focus on phrasing things as if the goal
has already happen. I already mentioned that in a previous module but I want to remind
you of that now since we're talking specifically about it.
A perfect affirmation would be, "I choose thoughts and actions that make me a better
person." A perfect wealth related affirmation would be, "I have (fill in the blank) X
amount of money in the bank now."
Notice I didn't say, "I want to" or "I wish I could" or "I hope I can" or "I hope that it's
going to maybe work out." No, "I have X amount of money in the bank now. 10,000;
20,000; 100,000; 1,000,000, whatever it is you're working on, whatever the next level is
for you, you have it right now.
Affirmations should be repeated several times a day. Now realize that hypnosis can be
used to implant powerful suggestions directly into your subconscious mind but
affirmations are sort of the conscious equivalent of that. It's nice if you use hypnosis on
yourself.
It's nice if you meditate and focus on positive things but what about throughout your
day. What about where you really live, which is in your everyday life. It is great to stop
every now and then and affirm that things are working out, that they're going in your
direction, that they are going the way you want them to go.
Now hypnosis is subconscious, but it can work very effectively in conjunction with
affirmations. If you hear something over and over and over, sort of like that song I that I
talked about that gets in your head, the one that you don't want to have there.
If you hear something over and over and over, even if it was something that you were
saying to yourself over and over and over, it's going to get into you subconscious mind
and become part of who you are and it's going to start to steer you in a certain
direction.
Since you already have those songs in your head that you don't want to have there, you
know, the songs that come out that you hear over and over, how about putting
something in your head that you do want to have there, something that's actually going
to benefit you. That would be your affirmations.
It is really great when you're working on something to have a theme and have a
strategy. For example, if you are working on creating wealth change in your life, well,
that's a theme, wealth. Just like losing weight is a theme. Just like gaining weight is a
theme. Some people want to gain weight.
They want to bulk up for something. Just like attracting true love into your life is a
theme. If you have a theme, such as wealth, we'll stick with that one, then you want to
have everything related to that.
For example, if you are working for a one-month period on wealth, it's great if your
affirmations are about wealth. It's great is your self-hypnosis recording that you make
for yourself is about wealth or if you're seeing a hypnotist it's great if you bring your
affirmations to them and share them with the hypnotist so they can make those part of
you wealth-related hypnosis session.
If you're meditating, it's great o just clear your mind and focus on the things that you
need to do and things that you can clean up in your life and it's great to focus on just
relaxing. But, how about also focusing on where you want to go financially? How about
making it a theme in everything you do; hypnosis, meditation and affirmations.
Now I mentioned a month. Maybe you're taking a month and that's going to be the
month that you focus on wealth. Hypnotherapy works really well in about a three-week
period. You can use hypnosis for three weeks of that month, any three weeks in a row.
Meditation can be used all throughout the month and so can affirmations.
This is just one way to do things. You can do it in a three-week period, that's great, but if
you want to take a month, let's say that February is going to be your month. You have
decided that that is your month for working on you financial fitness. That's fine.
The first three weeks can be focused on hypnosis and you can also meditate everyday
during those three weeks on wealth. Even after those three weeks are over you still
have another week left in the month. You can focus still on meditating on wealth and
your affirmations can run the entire month also.
Whereas your hypnosis may only be three weeks, your meditation is all month long and
so are your affirmations. Then you have it. February has been your month to set your
mind on wealth or whatever your theme is or whichever month you chose. It really does
not matter. It's up to you; the theme you chose and the month you chose.
I, myself, like to work in three-week blocks. That's the way I work best. So I'm focused
on wealth for those three weeks let's say for example. For three weeks I'm listening to
my wealth affirmation recordings and I'm writing out affirmations about wealth those
three weeks and I'm using my hypnosis recordings related to wealth every night of those
three weeks.
When I meditate, it's all about wealth also. That's if I'm going through a wealth phrase
where I want to expand my wealth. Some times it motivation. Some times it confidence.
I pick a theme and I stick with it.
My point is whether you want to work in a three-week block or a month block you can
do it, whichever works best for you. I wouldn't go any shorter than three weeks and I
wouldn't go any longer than one month.
Why wouldn't I go any shorter than three weeks? Because it's not enough time to cause
an effective change in your life. Why would I not go any longer than a month? Because
it's time to move on. You don't want to be stuck on forever. You have to draw the line
somewhere.
So, a month is fine but I wouldn't go beyond because you can work on other things,
other interesting things, perhaps motivation or creativity or confidence. And, I wouldn't
go under three weeks because it's just not enough time to really drill that in, to really
make that part of your life, and make those new habits that you need to attract wealth.
Now you have a 3-pronged approach you want take, if you will, meditation, hypnosis
and affirmations. Also, what about eliminating negative influences that keep your
subconscious mind where it's been? I mean if you are working on stopping smoking,
why are you still hanging around smokers?
Why are you still taking a smokers' break and hanging around the people who smoke?
Sure, you can still have them as friends, that's fine. But, if you're going to hang around
people while they're smoking, is that really beneficial for you while you're attempting to
stop smoking?
What about wealth? My idea of wealth is moving up to the next level or a few levels up.
When people want to increase their wealth that's what they want to do. Well, if you're
stilling around your friends who are at a certain level and aren't really interested in
moving forward, that's fine to have those friends, but how about also getting some new
friends who are wealthy? How about starting to hang around that country club, for
example?
How about figuring out where wealthy and successful people meet in your area and
what they do and starting to hang out with them? How about that? You're going to find
that people who are wealthier talk differently. They have a different language. They
don't look at things the same way as people who are not as wealthy as them. That's true
to every level.
People who are wealthier than those people talk differently than those people. It's a
ladder if you will. The next level always requires different language, different way of
relating to your universe. I'm not talking about speaking Chinese versus speaking
English.
I'm talking about speaking about possibilities in a different way. People who are
successful have a way of talking positively about their future. They also think in a very
expansive way. Not expensive way, expansive way, where they are looking for ways to
expand their minds.
If you haven't already read it, a great book to read is The Millionaire Next Door. It's a
wonderful book. I don't have any ties to it. I didn’t write it. I don't get any royalties from
it but The Millionaire Next Door is a great book because it really dispels a lot of myths
about millionaires.
People think millionaires are extravagant people who drive really nice cars and live in
really nice houses and always stay at the nicest hotels when the fact of the matter is
that most people who are millionaires don't do any of those things.
They drive very basic cars. They live in very basis houses. They look for deals on the
things. They want quality but they're not wasteful or extravagant with their money.
They understand that build long-term wealth requires consistent strategies of saving
and only spending where there's quality involved.
For example, you can buy a pair of shoes that cost $100 or a pair of shoes that cost $50.
The pair of shoes that cost $100 might actually make sense if they're going to outlast the
pair of shoes that cost $50 by three times as long. So, you pay twice as much but you get
three times the value. So, in situations like that, it makes sense. This book really spells it
all out, The Millionaire Next Door. I encourage you to read that.
These are the types of influences that you need if you want to move up a few levels. I
am not under any kind of delusion that people who are wealthier are better some how
or that people who are poorer than other people or worse somehow or better
somehow.
I'm not under any kind of delusion that people's value, their net value of who they are
as a human changes at all with the amount of money they have. I don't look at things
that way. I encourage you to really get clear on that as well that if you have felt that
people's value changes based on their bank account that's not really valid. That's not the
way it is.
People are people. We all have the value of one. We're all individuals. No matter what
we do, how many great things we do, how much money we have, how little money we
have we still have the value of one. We're one person and we all have that same value
of one.
That's the way I look at things. In all of this I don't want you to get the idea that you're
going to somehow better yourself. I hear people about, "I'm going to better myself by
getting more money." Well, you are a human being. You are valuable. You're infinitely
value to your family and your friends no matter how much or how little money you
have. I want you to keep that in mind.
If you are interested in changing your level of financial success or relationship success or
any other type of success then you've got to take steps. You've got to start associating
with people who are already successful, not people who are better than you, just people
who are in a different situation than you, people who have a different way of looking at
things than you have. You need to start taking on their ideas as your own. You've got to
reframe the way you look at the universe.
People who are wealthy look at ways that they can make massive amounts of money,
not just a little bit. They also look at ways that they can benefit people because wealthy
people realize that the more benefit they bring to the more people in the world the
more they will benefit financially so everybody wins.
That's how it works. So I encourage you, whatever you're working on get rid of the
negative influences in your life. I don't mean that you lose friends. I mean that you stop
listening to negative talk. When somebody, even a good friend, talks negatively, I want
you to learn to shut that out and to start gravitating toward people who are going to
talk positively about you future, their future, everyone's future.
People who are successful understand that success can happen easily if you just have
the right mindset. Let go of these associations that are holding you back. I'm not saying
let go of your friends but why spend so much time in negative talk when you can instead
spend time with positive thought, start spending more time with people who are
successful.
Role models for you at the next levels. There's always a next level so identify people
who are at the next level for you in whatever category you're working on, start hanging
around them, and start adopting their language as your language. Surround yourself
with positive people.
In the next module, the final module, Module 8, we're going to talk about turning our
subconscious thoughts into reality. We're going to really make this real, make it solid,
make it tangible, make it something that you can actually use. We've already done quite
a bit of that in this program but I'm going to leave you on a high note.
I'm going to leave you with something in your hands, something that you can actually
use, something that will benefit you. You've already got a lot of information in this
program, you've got a lot of tools, you can put them to practice, you can turn them into
reality, you can make them real and in the final module I'm going to show you how to
put all the pieces together and make it something tangible that you can use.
Module Eight
Welcome back. Welcome to module eight, the final module in this program. In this
module, we're going to talk about turning our subconscious thoughts into reality. You
know, your subconscious mind can bring about rapid and positive changes. That's what
it can do for you, if you harness it as I've described in this program. After you've trained
it to be positive, a positive compass, if you will, you'll find that life becomes a lot easier.
Your new subconscious mind, if you will, will always have your back. You're not going to
get a new subconscious mind per se, but you're going to get a tune-up after you apply of
the information in this program, which means this is a great time for me to tell you that,
if you have just been listening passively and thinking, “Hmm, this is an interesting
program,” what I really want you to do in this program is to apply what you've learned,
to put it into action.
When you do that, your subconscious mind is going to learn to bring out the positive
aspects of your reality: your creativity, your determination, and put it into your
everyday life. Your subconscious mind will also be able to alter the way you see the
world, and it's going to become a place of limitless possibilities, rather than just a bunch
of limitations that you see.
I mentioned earlier in the program how I had to deal with my own situations, my own
thoughts, that is, my own subconscious programming, how I had to get over that.
There's also a point when I was just starting my hypnosis practice, in California, in Los
Angeles. I had an opportunity to get an office in Beverly Hills. I'm talking Beverly Hills
90210 – that was the zip code – and it was in the Roxbury Medical Building.
The place came open, an office came open that I could take, I could call it my own office,
and there I would be. I thought, “Wow, am I really ready for this?” I was a guy who had
moved from Florida. I didn't really know much about Los Angeles and I always thought
Beverly Hills, especially the 90210 area, was reserved for superstars and celebrities and
people who were really amazingly awesome.
I had to reframe my thoughts. I had to get it into my head that I was just as worthy as
they were. I had to reprogram the way I thought about myself and the way I thought
about my universe and the way I thought about my possibilities, the way I thought
about my potential future. I had to reprogram all of that, if I wanted to make this
happen. I was looking at it as the next level.
Well, sure enough, as soon as I established my office there, celebrities started coming to
me. Directors started coming to me. Producers started coming to me. People started
respecting me more. It was amazing, just by getting an office in Beverly Hills. But if I had
not become comfortable with that – and by the way, even after I started seeing those
types of folks, it still took a little while for me to get more and more comfortable with it,
but that happened as a matter of course.
Over time, I became more comfortable, but if I had not made that step, if I had not just
gone for it, then my life would have been quite a bit different. I wouldn't have made
some of the key contacts which, years later, would be very beneficial for me in terms of
moving into television, in terms of getting my name out there more, and essentially in
terms of helping more people at a higher level to have more influence, to have more
reach, to have more of an opportunity to do some really wonderful things in this world.
None of that would have happened, if I didn't reprogram myself. I encourage you to
program yourself so that your subconscious mind whispers to you in positive ways.
Positive attitude: that's what it's all about. That's the key to unleashing the full potential
of your subconscious mind. Be sure to keep your mind full of positive thoughts and
intentions.
The more your conscious mind feeds positive information into your subconscious mind,
the better it works. In other words, the more able it is to whisper back in those key
moments, the positive thoughts that you need to push through to make things happen.
Rather than allowing complaints, negative self-talk or destructive attitudes to cloud your
mind, instead, how about focusing on positive thoughts? How about talking positively to
yourself?
If you do the opposite, if you focus on the negative, it's only going to fester and ruin the
progress that you have built, so avoid that. Stay away from that. Focus on the positive,
and you'll get more of the same. Keep your emotions from getting out of control by
checking your emotional state frequently. This is going to be a big advantage for you.
Check your emotional sate frequently.
If you find yourself thinking negatively, getting worked up into negative thoughts, check
that. Get it under control, and focus on positive thoughts. Now, if you feel yourself
sending out negative emotional energy, make a plan to stop that. Make a plan to
interrupt that.
Now, there's really nothing to see, but what I'm attempting to do is to interrupt their
pattern. Once I've interrupted their pattern, I can then redirect them. That's what's
called a redirect, because you're redirecting them. You have a pattern interrupt, where
you interrupt their pattern, and then you redirect them to something positive or to
thinking about options they have.
For example, if someone is just talking negative, negative, negative, I'll say, “Did you see
that?” They'll say, “What?” and they'll turn. There's nothing to see, I'm just interrupting
their pattern, and then I'll say something to the effect of, “What are some positive
things you can think of right now, positive changes that you can make, positive plans
that you can set into place?”
You see, once I've got them into that space of nothingness, where their brain is thinking,
“What do I do now?” because they're on that track, negative, negative, negative, I derail
them from that track. Now their brain is thinking, “Where do I go next?” Before they get
back on that track, I'm going to put them on the positive track, get them thinking about
positive things. That's called a pattern interrupt with a redirect.
Now, you can do that with yourself, also. If you find yourself getting caught up in a cycle
of negative, negative, negative, how about interrupting your own pattern? How about
distracting yourself and then thinking about something positive? Now, it's going to take
a little bit of self-control and you're going to have to watch over yourself a little bit, but
after a while, not only does it get easier, but it becomes unnecessary, because you get
so used to interrupting your own pattern that you do it automatically.
I encourage you to work on installing that habit, and it's all about keeping your emotions
from getting out of control by checking your emotional state frequently and making
changes where necessary.
Now, if you feel yourself sending out negative emotional energy, I want you to get this
under control. Switch your perspective by thinking about how much worse things could
be, for example. That's an interesting trick as well, if you think about how much worse
things could be.
You know the old saying, “You think you have it bad? Well, look at so-and-so or such-
and-such!” There's really always a worse situation. Now that, rather than getting you to
focus on the negative or the worse situation allows you to see how positive your
situation really is. You have air to breathe, you are alive, you have X amount of money in
the bank.
Whatever you do have, whatever is positive, you can start focusing on that and you
realize that things really aren't quite as bad as you started to think they were. Also, after
you leave this program – and that's really what this module is all about, sending you on
your way into the world with a very well-provided for toolbox, a toolbox of things that
you can use.
One of the things I also want you to do is continue visualization, to enhance your
motivation. Keep in mind that a vision board is very powerful. My friend, John Aserof,
does this. When he wants to take a vacation or he wants a new car, he wants anything,
he finds pictures of what he's interested in in magazines, cuts them out, puts them on a
poster board and puts that up so he can see it every day. That helps him focus.
You can do the same thing. It's called a vision board, and it can be very essentially for
maintaining and fueling the motivation that you need, in order to achieve your goals.
Find images from magazines or online and print them out anywhere you can and get
them in front of you every day, even if it's just on a computer screen. As long as you're
seeing it every day, that's what counts. Your subconscious mind is being programmed to
move toward it.
You can glue or tape those pictures onto a board. As long as you can look at them on a
regular basis. To give your vision board more power, what I'd like you to do is add
affirmations for each image. You can write an affirmation below each image. “This is my
car,” for example. Rather than just a picture of a car, “This is my car.” Rather than just a
picture of a house, “My new house.”
Also, you can act as if you already have what you want. Now, what do I mean by that?
Well, if you don't have that car, you can go test drive that car. Let your subconscious
mind get a really good feel for how that car is, when you sit in it. You're going to really
get a sensory input on all levels, all sensory levels.
You're going to smell that new car, you're going to feel how fast it drives, you're going to
feel how it handles, you're going to see the car, you're going to hear the engine purr,
you're going to hear the radio, and most importantly, you're going to feel how you feel
in it. If you do that every now and then, until you get that car, you're just programming
your subconscious mind.
Your subconscious mind starts to think, “Hey, this is a regular part of our environment,
and since it is, we're going to make sure that's our reality, that this car is a regular part
of our everyday life,” so it's going to make it happen.
I want you to realize how your subconscious mind responds automatically to align with
your actions. Your actions are getting that car or checking out that house or checking
out that boat you want. Your subconscious mind wants to make things congruent and
wants to make your life align with what it's experiencing.
What it's experiencing is that boat or that house or that car, or whatever it is. It's going
to make certain that you move toward that. The more exposure you get to it, the more
you're going to move more powerfully toward it. If you find yourself doubting, address
the limiting beliefs through hypnosis or affirmations.
You already know how to do that. You can also relieve the stress associated with this
type of situation through meditation. When I say this type of situation, I mean the
disconnect that you may feel in your everyday life. Well, yes, I have this vision board and
yes, I'm test driving these cars and yes, I'm thinking about them. I don't have them yet.
Well, that's the kind of stress you don't want. That's the kind of stress that works against
you. You can work through that with meditation. Let it play out. Let those feelings come
out. Be honest with those feelings, but then notice how they dissipate and you're left
with calmness, and then you're able to focus on actually making it happen.
Now, at first, this is going to require some persistence, because limiting beliefs can be a
little stubborn. You're going to have to be persistent, when you catch yourself in those
cycles, when you find yourself doubting, when you're not focused on your goals. You're
going to have to get yourself back on track, and to eliminate negative beliefs, you want
to find their source, their reasons for them.
Usually the reason for them is you just don't feel deserving. You just don't feel that you
should have that, because whatever happened to you in the past or whatever
somebody told you in the past, or whatever you thought about yourself in the past, it's
usually something along those lines that can be addressed in your hypnosis recordings,
that you now know how to make for yourself, or if you go to a hypnotherapist.
You can tell them what you want to work on, and together with them, you can put
together a plan for getting you to where you want to be. But, you can do this yourself, if
you want, with hypnosis recordings. It's all a matter of taking a really honest look at
yourself. I'm talking about inside. I'm talking about your intentions. I'm talking about
where these ideas come from, these limiting ideas.
They're all in your head. The only difference between you and a person you consider to
be successful are the thoughts in your head. Their thoughts are different from your
thoughts. There's really no other difference. They're human, you're human. Their
thoughts are different than yours. You can change that, though. You can change your
thoughts any time you choose to.
One of the most important tools that you will find in getting from where you are to
where you want to be would be daily intentions. Daily intentions, setting out how you
want to interact with the world on a daily basis. This is going to go a long way in terms
of cultivating a better subconscious mind.
When I say better, what I mean is one that's serving you better, one that's whispering
back to you the things that you want to hear, not whispering negative things, not
holding you back, but moving you forward, advancing things.
In a movie, the scene has to advance. Otherwise, the movie is over. The scene has to
advance. Your life has to advance. You need to push yourself forward to the next scene,
and you need to let go of fear in doing so. The way you get from scene to scene to scene
is with confidence.
The way you get to confidence is by letting go of fear, and the way you get go of fear is
by setting positive intentions, working with meditation, working with hypnosis, or any
other tool that you have learned. That's what's going to get you from where you are to
where you want to be. That's also what's going to set up this cycle of subconscious
whispers, your subconscious mind just repeating back to you the things you've said to it.
You've said positive things? Well, that's what you're going to get back, and that's going
to help you even more. It becomes a biofeedback loop, if you will: positive in, positive
out, positive back in again, more positive out, and so forth. You can make affirmations
and intentions for every aspect of your life, and you can create intentions for your love
life, your career, your financial life, any aspect you want to work on.
The more intentions you set, the more affirmations you make, the more you focus
through hypnosis and through meditation, the more things will go your way. Set your
intentions and believe that you subconscious mind will respond with the whispers of
wisdom, to help you succeed.
We've reached the end of our time together for now, but I encourage you to listen to
this program again, because you're going to get a lot more out of it the second time.
Things that you didn't even catch the first time you're going to catch the second time,
because you're going to listen with more of an ear toward other things that are on a
deeper level.
What I mean by that is, a lot of times, we listen to a program and it's a lot of information
coming at you, all kinds of information. We're going to recap in a moment, and I'm going
to remind you of just how much information you have received from this program.
It can be a lot, but now that you have some ideas, you're formulating your own
thoughts, putting together some plans, your subconscious mind and your conscious
mind will listen differently, listen more intently. “What was that he said about that?
Now it makes sense. I want to put it into place, but what exactly did he say to do?”
You're going to pick up on that. In module one, you learned about what your
subconscious mind stores, and this means that you have information about how to use
your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind stores information without your
conscious consent, in many cases. You now know that, and you can take charge of that.
You can be more careful about what goes into it.
In module two, we looked at how your subconscious mind uses this information. Once
it's in there, what are the triggers that set it off? How is it used? That's what you learned
in module two. In module three, we explored more deeply how our minds work and we
realized that your view of the world and your experiences are different, based on how
you think.
They're different from other people's experiences and other people's views. Two people
can have the same experience, seemingly, from an objective point of view, but they're
completely different experiences, and that makes all the difference.
Then, in module four, we worked on enhancing your understanding of the impact that
your subconscious mind has on your everyday life. Fear of commitment could be rooted
in deep insecurities. Whatever may be there in your subconscious mind, there's always a
way to overcome anything that's going on, and to build something new. That's what you
learned about in module four.
In module five – my favorite module – I shared with you information about hypnosis and
you can use hypnosis. I shared with you the five parts of a hypnosis session: the
induction, deepening, script, amnesia, trance termination, all of which go together to
help you put together a powerful hypnosis session for yourself, to help you change.
In module seven, you learned about creating positive changes in your subconscious
mind, and you learned about positive affirmations. They are in the here and now, and
they are positive. I have X amount of money in the bank now. Your subconscious mind is
going to find a way to make that happen. When you state in the positive and the here
and now.
Finally, in this module, you learned how to turn your subconscious thoughts into reality,
how to really use this information. You have a lot of powerful information. I encourage
you to go back through it, learn it at a deeper level, because that's what happens when
you go back through information.
You learn it more deeply, because you already know what to expect and you're listening
for certain parts that you may have missed the first time. Getting a deeper
understanding is what happens the second time around. Enjoy it. I'm Dr. Steve G. Jones,
hoping you have an outstanding life.
