1. Introduction
MCGM has awarded a design built tender for demolition and reconstruction of a bridge
over a creek near SNDT College on Juhu Tara road to HV constructions. The bridge is over
a main road connecting Santacruz to Juhu and form a main connection road between Bandra
to JVPD. The span is 16.6 m and width is 30.5 m approx for both way traffic forming 15.25
m going to Santacruz for eastward travel and 15.25 m going towards Juhu for westward
travel. The scope of work includes demotition of existing bridge and rebuilding a new in
two phases, first for west ward traffic flow and opening the traffic and demolition and
construction of the bridge for estward traffic. This report deals in the detail design report of
the work.
The design and analysis is carried out in MIDAS software and the out put of the same is
attached herewith. The soft copy of the MIDAS out put is also attached for review. The
contents of the report also include the design calculations and drawings for review and
approval.

A three-dimensional space frame model is developed in MIDAS. Superstructure as well as substructure is modelled with appropriate structural
