Cross Over Every Bridge Once, and Only Once (Known As A Euler Walk) ?
Graph Theory was Introduce by Leonhard Euler a Swiss mathematician in the 18th century. His
efforts and eventual solution to the popular Königsberg bridge problem are also credited as the
beginning of graph theory.
The geographical structure is made up of four major land masses linked by seven bridges. The
question put to Euler was it was possible to take a walk through the town in such a way as to
cross over every bridge once, and only once (known as a Euler walk)?
Euler drew the first known visual representation of a modern graph, realizing that the necessary
constraints were the four bodies of land and the seven bridges. A modern graph is made up of a
collection of vertices or nodes that are linked by a set of connecting lines called edges. The
