    Overlord is a Japanesse light novel which has been translated into English. Overlord
    is a dark fantasy novel written by Kugane Maruyama. This novel published online in 2010
    and have published 14 volumes physically since July 30th 2012. Overlord also ilustrated into
    Manga by So-Bin. This novel tells us about how someone stuck in the world of game.

    The main character of this story is Ainz Ooal Gown also known as Momonga. He is
    the main protagonist of this novel. He is the builtmaster of Ainz Ooal Gown, and regarded as
    the highest of the Almighty Forty-One Supreme Beings. His other identity known as Momon
    which is a dark warior and the leader of darkness. Another characters that the author puts on
    this novel are his friends, monsters, NPC (non-player character), etc. However, his real life
    name is Suzuki Satoru. Therefore, the characters of this novel is clearly explain, the author
    not only focus on the main character but also to another characters that makes us know what
    inside the characters’ minds are. ()

    The setting of Overlord take place in the world of yggdrasil which is a popular virtual
    reality game that the main character is playing. Where it was takes place in kingdom within
    the virtual game. The game is based on Norse Mythology that has nine seperate worlds within
    it, which are: Asgard, Alfheim, Vanaheim, Nidavellir, Midgard, Jotunheim, Niflheim,
    Helheim, and Muspellsheim. Therefore, the setting of this novel shows how great the author’s
    fantasy is, and makes this novel is worth to be called as his masterpiece. ()

    The plot of this story is exciting. Personally, I love the plot of Overlord because the
    plot is not mainstream. Surprisingly, this novel tell us about the friendship, politics, war, and
    little bit love, where i used to think that this novel is only narrate about the war. Also, what I
    love the most about this novel is the author did not try to make long story, when the story has
    to be concluded, the author ends it. ()

    The story logic of this novel is well delivered. The author of this novel really knows
    how to write properly so the story can be infer by the readers. Using persuasive logic, I can
    take all information from the story and recreate it in my mind what the writer wants to tell.

    The author of this novel which is Kugane Maruyana uses the first person perspective
    to narrate the story. The choosen words of this novel makes the novel even better, but
    sometimes it is also hard to understand because the author sometimes puts some ‘standard’
    words in his masterpiece. ()
    Overall, Overlord is a great light novel. The author approaches on the buliding the
    characters is spot on, great plot and lot of plot twist. I really enjoy reading this novel because
    it is really worth to read. ()
