I. SUBJECT MATTER
Topic: Intentional Injury
References: Physical Education and Health 9, pp.
(Please don’t forget to maintain a safe distancing among others and wear masks at all
times.)
Review of the past lesson (the teacher will call student/s to recap the past lesson.)
2. Motivation
Before we start our lesson, let’s have first an activity called “Picture Analysis”.
Proceed to your groups in yesterday’s activity.
Each group will be given envelope, inside it, are cut out pictures. Each group will
arrange the cut pictures, after which choose 1 representative to explain what
picture you have come up with.
Guide questions:
1. What type of injury is the picture? How can you tell so?
2. What is the message of the picture?
3. Activity
Let’s have a game “4 Pics 1 Word”. What are you going to do is to guess what specific
word fits with the theme of the photos
presented.

4. Analysis
The students will answer the following questions in there activity notebook:
1. What do you think is/are the risk factor/s for committing the mentioned photos earlier
in our game?
2. Why do some people remain quiet and don’t report the incident? (for example,
Stalking, rape, domestic violence)
3. Who can give a situation cases like from the photos in the game?

So, class, based on our activity a while ago, what do you think is our lesson for
today?
That’s right!
There are many types of intentional injury, but we will only discuss some of its
type.
Again, from yesterday’s topic, the term “intentional” is referred to injuries
resulting from purposeful human action, whether directed at oneself or others.
o Kidnapping- The act is usually done for motive like getting a monetary
reward/ransom or getting some sort of benefit from the person or their family.
Who can give situations or cases related to kidnapping?
6. Application
Answer the following in your activity notebook.
Determine the news headlines whether it is intentional or unintentional injury. Write
what type of intentional injury if it is intentional injury.
1. Estudyante, nagpakamatay matapos ma bully.
2. Teenager raped and slain.
3. Bata, nalunod dahil sa baha.
4. Binatilyo, patay matapos tamaan ng kidlat.
5. Karambola ng mga sasakyan, pito and daan.
6. Riot ng mga gang, nauwi sa madugong wakas!
7. Sunogsa Ortiz, mula sa napabayaang kandila.
8. Girl, 7, kidnapped in Lapaz.
9. Neophyte, patay sa hazing.
10.Sekyu, nasagasaan dahil sa sobrang kalasingan.
III. ASSESSMENT
Differentiated activity.
You will perform either a 2-minute role play, poem composition then deliver or painting
then explain how to prevent or control the intentional injury you have chosen. I will
give you 10 minutes. (Students who were absent related to pandemic, may pass their
work through email or through messenger)
