1) A mechanical engineer conducted an experiment to determine the effects of drill speed and material feed rate on the pushing force of a drill. He tested 2 drill speeds and 4 feed rates. 2) A two-way ANOVA analysis found that both factors and their interaction had a significant effect on pushing force, as their F-values were greater than F-critical. 3) Drill speed had the greatest impact on pushing force, with the lowest p-value. The results show that drill speed, feed rate, and their interaction all statistically significantly affect the pushing force of a drill at the 95% confidence level.
