PROJECT PROFILE:
Project # 1
Description:
Sales analysis project covers entire sales analytic life cycle of an organization, sales function in an
organization responsible for finding customers, understanding customer’s requirements and
persuading customers the abilities of organization, products and services to meet their requirements.
Effective Implementation of sales analytics includes integration of the sales analytic BI content with
information infrastructure and known business requirements. The Cognos Reports delivered with sales
analysis are intended to assist the Top-level management in Decision-making.
The system is designed to track all the sales made by the distributors. It helps the Business user to
analysis distributor’s performance and the market share of their products in each country.
Responsibilities:
Design table Joins aliases and views to generated Quality Reports. Developed List Reports,
Crosstab Reports and Drill through Reports with filters, Calculations, Predefined conditions,
Prompts, Group Associations, Sort, Summarizing data functions and styles.
Strong SQL Knowledge with hands on experience, ability to write complex queries.
Created report using cascading prompts, conditional variables and data formatting principles.
Involved in viewing the model or query subjects and query items by applying cardinalities,
joins and alias for resolving the loops.
Created and developed new analysis combination charts and also modified the existing charts
like line and column charts.
Created 14 alternate Drill down paths in some of the dimensions to enable to analyze data as
per their requirement.
Creating Reports using conditional blocks and Render variables.
Project # 2
Description:
State Firm Insurance is one of the leading companies in the nation for the auto insurance
with more than 10 million policyholders. State Firm Insurance companies have consistently
received high ratings for financial strength and claims paying ability from various independent
rating agencies. The Insurance Data warehousing project was developed in an effort to streamline
the entire process of Insurance and to keep track of various financials on a daily, weekly, monthly
basis. Claims, Premium, Loss and Contracts were some of the modules we were basically
dealings.
Responsibilities:
Created different types multidimensional data modeling using Star Schema and Snow flake
Schema.
Created Reports using cascading prompts, conditional variables and data formatting principles.
Formatting the reports using Report Studio facilities like Drill through, Master-Detail, etc.

Description:
General Motors is a automobile company producing vehicles in America and other countries. Across
the world it has many plants producing components and vehicles. This project deals with the plants
based in America. This project is used to analyze the cost incurred in producing the components and
vehicles. These estimations will be calculated by using metrics like volume, hours, headcount and
indirect material. The reports designed include daily, weekly and monthly scorecards and trend charts.
Responsibilities:
Creating and enhancing List and Cross Tab reports using Report Studio.
Created the reports using Report Functionalities like Cross-tab, Master Detail.
Customizing reports using Calculations, Filters and Sorts.
Gathering requirements and writing specifications for generation for cognos reports.
Scheduling single and multiple reports, distribute reports to folder and email.
Developed some specific reports with concept of cascading and all value prompts as per
Business requirements.
Created folders for adding calculations, summaries in the tables/reports.
Designing sub reports, drill through reports for analyzing the business performance.
Providing data extracts in XMX, CSV, Flat-files and PDF’s based on the requirement and to
generate the data feeds for the reconciliation in the order existing systems.
