Ubiquiti Gateways, Switches, and Access Points are configured via the
centralized Controller software. Prior to configuration, devices are adopted to a
controller (i.e., cannot be managed by another controller).
Device Provisioning
Note: Critical setting to be aware of! This setting monitors uplink and will disable SSID if uplink loses
connectivity HOWEVER, this setting must be disabled to allow more then 4 SSIDs on a RADIO. When
disabled up to 8 SSIDs are allowed per RADIO.

Site Configuration – SSH Authentication
Keep this configuration information in easy to reach location; the SSH credentials are used for
Controller Software to Device Management but are also useful to login into devices directly.
UBPG-S3
WLAN Rate Control – Disable CCK
When editing/creating SSID/WLAN, disable CCK (802.11b) to improve 2.4GHz performance. Also,
control of minimum data rate can help with roaming and high density deployments.
