Two types for Formative Assessment (GRADE 6)

1. Think-Pair-Share
For a grade 6 student this is one of effective to use to assess them because Think-Pair-
Share is simple for teachers to use. The instructor asks a question, and students write
down their answers. Students are then placed in pairs to discuss their responses.
Teachers are able to move around the classroom and listen to various discussions. It
lets them gain valuable insight into levels of understanding.

And It helps students to think individually about a topic/subject or answer to a

question. It teaches students to share ideas with classmates and builds oral
communication skills. It helps focus attention and engage students to also embrace
the importance of team building and sharing knowledge to other people

2. Creative Extension Projects

Students can create a large scope of projects to demonstrate comprehension. Quick

projects help them apply the higher-order levels of Bloom's Taxonomy. These don't
have to be big and complicated. They can take a day, a half-day, or even an hour.
Here are some extension ideas for quick projects:

 Create a poster or collage illustrating the subject matter

 Record a rehearsed skit or podcast discussing the topics covered
 Build a diorama about the subject and create a narrative behind it
 Let students design their own flashcards to test each other with
 Keynote presentations made by students on the topic
For a student in grade 6 level creativity will helps students to be innovative and
also encourages them to learn new things. And Students can grow up as good
communicators at the same time it will improve their emotional and social skills.
In fact, creative expression plays a key role in a student's emotional development.

3 Types for Summative Assessment

1. Final Porfolio
are collections of student work representing a selection of performance. A
portfolio may be a folder containing a student's best pieces and the student's
evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of the pieces. And it offers an
opportunity to present the body of work they produced over the semester,
representing their development as a writer, reader, and researcher.

And based on my experience Portfolios gives an impact to who I’am before

and how I become who I’m now because this encourage students to take more
ownership and responsibility over the learning process. Because portfolios
document learning growth over time, they can help students reflect on where
they started a course, how they developed, and where they ended up at the
conclusion of the school year.

2. Writing an essay
I choose this because students in Grade 6 level know write and express,
discover, record, develop, and reflect on ideas. They problem solve and
produce texts of at least 500 to 700 words. And can be end by deciding on
their own topic, do a research, and create an essay outline.

Essay writing enhances students communication skills by helping them to

learn how to transform their thoughts into well-informed sentences. If they're
able to write it out on paper or type it on a computer, then they should be able
to express it in both casual conversations and intellectual debates

3. Debate
Its applicable to a student in Grade 6 to meet the importance od debate
because students will think critically about something that they think that is
they need to protect or stand and will provide a forum for them to develop the
arts of expression.

And Debate is a great device for engaging students and bringing life to the
classroom. Using debates in the classroom can help students understand
essential critical-thinking and presentation skills. Class debates give students
the opportunity to test their thoughts and views against that of their peers
