Captain (Rtd) Yahya M.A.

Ondigo

Through this log I want to promote brother Yahya M.A. Ondigo from Kenya, a young
and upcoming active scholar in Kenya. The last jumu’ah prayer of Ramadhan I
attended a book presentation by this scholar in Jami’ah mosque in Nairobi. Like me
he is also a convert, I wanted to buy some of the books he wrote but I was to shy to
go and talk with him. Afterwards I bought one of his books and a dvd by him from a
close family friend who knows him personally. I bought the book “Forty Hadith on
Social Poisonous Habits” and a dvd with a lecture he gave with the title:
“Awakening and accounting for the self – at-Tanbeeh wal Muhasaabah”. I will contact
him insha’Allah on a series of lectures he gave on the life of imam an-Nawawi. Two
years ago I first heard about him and I bought his book “The Seven Conditions of
Shahaadah”, in a bad Indian print though with some pages missing.

Other titles of his books are:

- God’s Blessings to Humanity, Part I and II;

- Muslim-Christian Interactions, Past Present & Future
- My Journey from Christianity to Islam
- Islam & Science, Conflicting or Conciliating?
- Essential Islamic Studies, Book One and Four

At the presentation he told his books soon will be published by International Islamic
Publishing House or something like that so keep your eyes and ears open.

Furthermore, he also gave lectures on:

- The Crisis of Muslim Leadership: Part I & II

- The Necessity & Importance of Unity and Brotherhood in Islam
- The Glorious Month of Ramadhaan: Part I & II
- Drugs and Drug Abuse: Causes & Effects in Our Society
- Essential Islamic Studies I, II, III
- The Rise and Fall of the Muslim Ummah
- Husband and Wife Relationships in Islam
- Taqwa of Allah (SW): Provision of every Muslim for Salvation and Success
- The Role of the Masjid in our Contemporary Society

Brother Yahya studied comparative religion through Ahmed Deedat and has a
degree in Islamic studies from the Islamic University in Uganda, worked as an imam
and khatib on the Seychelles and is involved in da’wah. May Allah accept his efforts
for islam.
