Believing In Allah's Decree (Qadar)

Introduction
...He said, “Tell me about faith.” Prophet Muhammad (peace &
blessings be upon him) said, “Faith is to believe in Allah, his angels,

( A portion of hadith Jibril, From Umar;
Ṣaḥiḥ Muslim and Al Bukhari)

Believing in the qadar is part of the pillars of Iman. Rejecting qadar is

the same as rejecting the belief in Allah. Each one of the pillars of
Iman reflects the supremacy and sovereignty of Allah.
Belief in the qadar is one aspect of Aqidah. It is a belief that
everything that happens in this world is with the wills and decree of
Allah.

There are four aspects of qadar to make it valid. There are:

1.  The belief that

Allaah knows all things
2.   The belief that Allaah
in general terms and
had decreed all things in al-
detail
Lawh al-Mahfooz, fifty
thousand years before He
created the heavens and
the earth.
3.   The belief that
nothing happens in
this world and
universe, good or bad, 4.   The belief that
but by His will. Allaah created all
that exists.
Believing In Allah's Decree (Qadar)
Introduction

When Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) heard that some people
denied al-qadar. He said: “If I meet these people I will tell them that I have
nothing to do with them and they have nothing to do with me. By the One
by Whom ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar swore, if one of them had a gold equivalent
to Mount Uhud and he spent it, Allaah would not accept it from him unless
he believed in al-qadar.”
 (Sahih Muslim 8)
