Advantages Windows XP

Windows XP has several advantages including high system stability, the ability to remotely access and assist with other computers, strong security features, and easy software installation. However, it also has disadvantages such as being more expensive than other operating systems, having limited community support as a closed-source system, and being vulnerable to viruses. Embedded operating systems are designed for specialized tasks, often without a graphical user interface. They have advantages of small size, low cost, portability, and low power usage suitable for devices like watches and medical equipment, but can be hard to maintain and upgrade over time.

Advantages Windows XP

     1. Microsoft Windows XP has a high stability of the system.

     2. Applications that run on the Windows XP system can be run by a computer internet.
     3. By using Remote assistence we can monitor computer malfunction on another computer remotely through
internet.
     4. Has a security system that can be used to protect specific folders to be used by the owner.
     5. Windows XP can be used to share applications in real time to all world.
     6. Many software
     7. Many of the software that runs on the operating system stable
     8. There will be no problem or conflict between the software and hardware
     9. Installing the software was easy compared to the installation on other operating systems
Disadvantages Windows Xp
     1. Microsoft party severely limit the use of comfort to the WindowsXP operating system in which each user
must activate the Microsoft on certains periode.
     2. The absence of the Java Virtual Machine as Windows previous generations.
     3. Price is expensive
     4. Community is too little, because it is closed-source
     5. Number of viruses that attack Windows XP6 often. Systems that are less stable.
Benefits of Microsoft Windows XP
Windows XP is very fast and quick response generative in nature. As a multitasking operating system it allows the
users to switch between various applications and resume working with other applications even if one of the
applications has stopped working suddenly. Moreover, the boot process is so quick that within seconds the
applications open up. A second major advantage of XP is its quick delete function. Initially it would take long hours
deleting files because users had to wait endlessly till each file was deleted. But with XP, the quick action of deleting
takes place by clearing the NTFS (New Technology File System) trees. Its Ctrl+Alt+Del functionality implies that
whenever the Internet browser hangs up, users can just use Ctrl+Alt+Del keys simultaneously to get it going again.
Automatic updates to XP take place without delay in a time-bound manner and they do not interfere with browsing
activity. XP also presents an exemplary error notification report as whenever there is any problem within no time an
error report is sent to Microsoft for solutions thus preventing any system hang. Windows XP is formulated in such a
way that it has a universal hardware support done by vendors. XP runs on almost every computer with AMD or an
Intel processor from 1998 till date.
Embedded OS
1. Embedded systems are designed to do some specific task.
2. Embedded systems are not always standalone devices.
3. Most of the program instructions written for embedded systems are referred to as firmware.
Embedded systems range from no user interface at all to complex graphical user interfaces that resemble modern computer
desktop operating systems.
Advantages of Embedded OS
1. Small Size . Since embedded systems are application specific, the custom designed system will have only
necessary components and hence significantly smaller than a regular computer.
2. Reduced cost. Obviously, since the system has less number of components as compared to a computer.
3. Portability. Small size means portability. A lot of embedded systems we use run on battery, and can be
carried in a pocket. E.g ; calculator, digital watch etc.
4. Low power operation. Most embedded systems require very low power to operate, thus making them ideal
for medical applications.
5. Real time response. Embedded systems are also called real time systems, where the response to external
event has hard boundary for execution. Thus, they are better for applications where response to an external
event is critical. E.g: Deploying airbags inside a car after collision.

Disadvantages of Embedded OS
 Hard to maintain.
 Doesn’t evolve with technology improvement.
 Hard to carry files from one machine to another.
 Hard to backup embedded files.
