1. The document is the midterm exam for a Calculus and Analytical Geometry course. It contains instructions for taking the exam remotely and is divided into two parts, each with multiple choice questions. 2. Part 1 contains questions about finding instantaneous rates of change and limits for different functions based on the last digit of the student's registration number. 3. Part 2 contains questions about finding derivatives and analyzing motion based on given position, velocity, and acceleration functions, again using the last digit of the registration number. The exam carries 20% of the student's final grade.

MTSE1013 - Calculus and Analytical Geometry
Mid Term Examination
Semester: Spring 2021 Max Marks: 20
Date: May 17, 2021. Time: 1.30 Hours.
Instructor: Dr. Samina Rashid (S1).
Instructions:

ˆ There are TWO Parts in this paper. The time for each part is 45 minutes inclusive
of submission.
ˆ Every student is required to attempt his/her paper in his/her own handwriting.
ˆ This examination is being conducted in extra ordinary circumstances so we expect
that all students will exhibit higher moral standards.
ˆ Each student is required to write his/her Name, Registration Number and Sheet
Number, on each page of the answer sheet and sign each answer sheet before sub-
mission.
ˆ Combine the properly scanned pictures of your work as a single PDF document for
submission. The total number of pages should not exceed 5.
ˆ The file name should be MT followed by your Reg. No. For example MT-
BEE203999.
ˆ This exam carries 20% weight towards the final evaluation.
ˆ An Honor Statement is uploaded on teams. On the first page of answer sheets of
each part, you must write and sign that honor statement.
