6 Detailed Plan

6.1 Integration phase

During the integration phase a field engineer will go to the site and do
commissioning which is explained in the steps below.

6.1.1 Formatting DUS

Since the DUS from the factory may contain different software, it is
recommended to format the DUS and load the required software L16A. The
steps for formatting are as shown below

Connect the serial cable to the LMT A port of DUS. Start the secureCRT
software and choose the correct USB interface.

Check the disk volume by using the vols command. If /c2 is missing we will
have to mount it by command as below

mount_c2

Now we format the /c2 and /d drives by the following commands

formathd /c2

formathd /d

Once format is completed, we reload the eNodeB by using reload command.

Back to the node to the backup mode by reload--

Now a default IP address is configured for the eNodeB. This is done by the
following command.

ifconfig le0 169.254.1.10 netmask 255.255.0.0

6.1.2 Copy source to DUS

Now that the DUS is formatted we can transfer the Package (/c2 and /d) to
the DUS. In order to do that the first step is to connect a LAN cable from the
laptop to port LMTB of DUS.

Set IP address of the laptop should be set as 169.254.1.11. The subnet mask
should be 255.255.0.0 and the gateway should be 169.254.1.10

Setting transfer type is binary
